Introduction to Krampus Does Xmas
Krampus Does Xmas is a casino slot from Wicked Games, following the antics of a mischievous creature hell-bent on ruining Christmas. With his rebellious posse disguised as iconic festive characters, he's about to raid homes around the world and wreak absolute chaos. While the children may find their holiday decorations and presents smashed to bits in the morning, there's an opportunity for scoring some nice gifts on the reels. Each time you hit a Giftbox icon anywhere on the grid, a re-spin with a multiplier of up to x5, up to 10 random Wilds, or up to 3 Wild reels can open the way to attractive prizes. During Free Spins, Wilds turn sticky, and the multiplier remains persistent between spins, and some new options appear in the Giftbox, including additional spins and instant cash rewards worth up to 1,000x the bet. Those who have no compunction about stealing all the presents can exchange them for a max win of up to 10,000x.
Theme, Gameplay & Payouts
Krampus Does Xmas is a video slot from Wicked Games with 5 reels, 4 rows, and 20 paylines. You can choose your stake from a range of options, starting from a Min.bet of 0.2, which makes the game affordable for most budgets, up to a Max.bet of 400, suitable for the most daring high-rollers. The math profile runs on a default RTP of 96.1%, which is in line with industry standards, promising reliable long-term returns. You can expect a relatively even balance between more frequent, smaller wins and occasional big hits due to medium volatility, while the max win available on any single round is 10,000x the bet.
Krampus Does Xmas features a cartoony setting with a classic anti-Christmas vibe, where a team of hardcore characters rebels against the festive season. In their sleigh war machine equipped with cannons, chainsaws and Molotovs in hand, they raid the towns to the tune of energetic rock music. This year, only the naughty kids will find something worthwhile under the tree, provided they enjoy destruction and filth. Despite the gritty, mischievous undertones, the game's aesthetics involve vibrant graphics that instantly capture the classic spirit of Christmas. It's quite an original mix that provides a cool alternative to all the traditional releases out there. The setup is also fully responsive, adapting seamlessly to all screen sizes on PCs, smartphones, and tablets.
Winning combinations must fall on any of the 20 active lines, while utilising adjacent reels, starting from the left. The paytable hierarchy consists of two groups of paying icons, with the low-paying ones represented by four royal card ranks from J to A, awarding 2x the bet for a set of 5 on a payline. A snowman, a nutcracker, a gingerbread man, a reindeer, and an elf comprise the premium section, offering payouts between 3x and 10x the bet when you form a 5-of-a-kind hit. In addition to regular symbols, reels also hold Wilds represented by Krampus, Giftbox symbols in the form of a black present, and Scatters appearing as the front of a chopper motorbike.

Final Thoughts on Krampus Does Xmas
As far as Christmas-themed slots go, the industry is packed with traditional releases featuring a cosy atmosphere, sparkling presents, and a jolly Santa ready to deliver every single one of them in one magical night. The abundance of such images can therefore make each new setting in the genre feel mundane, and that's why we appreciate providers taking the opposite approach and introducing a bit of mischief to the usual merry mood. This time, it's a band of rocking delinquents that decided not to follow the classic spirit of Xmas and engage in their own loud and obnoxious celebrations. The creators did a pretty good job depicting this energetic mixture with a scene that undeniably captures the expected holiday imagery and clashes it with the mischievous attitude of the rebellious characters.
While the aesthetics give off quite an original vibe, the gameplay remains on the more common side with a handful of heavily overused features. A simple respin with either random Wilds or Wild reels and a multiplier of up to x5 will be your only respite between standard game rounds. Considering a relatively strong paytable, it's capable of producing satisfying results if the special symbols manage to hit those 20 paylines. Respins also serve as a decent extension of Free Spins, alongside additional options in the Giftbox with extra spins and instant prizes. Sticky Wilds are an obvious highlight, and always a nice thing to see during the bonus, especially when the wins achieved with they helped can be multiplied. Altogether, it's a straightforward composition with clear potential, although one that feels a bit dated at this point.
Krampus Does Xmas is an alternative seasonal slot with a mischievous theme and uncomplicated gameplay based on respins, Wilds, and multipliers.
