Final Thoughts on Christmas Riches 2 Power Combo
We had a fairly good time with the demo of Christmas Riches 2 Power Combo, but we couldn’t quite get over the feeling that we'd already unwrapped this present. The game is very much the same game as the original, the only real difference being that the Power Combo Bonus Game has been extended a little with the Prize Double Feature and the Power Symbol Feature. Those are both quite good additions, and there is a certain amount of satisfaction in watching a Bonus Prize Symbol grow with each spin. However, two more bonus game modifiers don't make it a new game at all. It's more like getting the same pair of socks again, just in a slightly different shade.
The theme is as cozy as ever, and the Santa team above the reels is lovely. The Boost and the Super Collection provide you with something to play with whilst you're waiting for the bonus. But when the bonus finally came, we were still hoping for something more spectacular from a sequel. The medium volatility and fairly decent hit frequency in the base game will keep it all quite pleasant, just nothing quite got us jumping out of our seats.
If you loved the first game, you'll feel right at home with this one. If you were hoping for a bit of a Christmas surprise, then this one might just leave you checking under the tree again.
