The Winners of the 2023 Game Developer Awards

At the 2023 Game Developer Awards, held at the InterContinental Hotel in Malta, Relax Gaming, AvatarUX, BGaming, and NetEnt were all some of the big winners.

To end the successful CasinoBeats Summit, 23 awards were presented to celebrate the best companies, casino titles, and individuals. The ceremony was hosted by Arsenal legend Gilberto Silva and Trudy Kerr and was a fitting finale to an eventful summit. Some categories included were Game Performance, Game Creation, Game Marketing, Game People, and SlotCatalog.

Relax Gaming continued its success by being honored with the Slot of the Year award for Money Train 3 and the Game Studio of the Year. BGaming was also recognized, claiming both the Slot to Watch award for Potion Spells and the Game Music/Soundtrack award for Elvis Frog TRUEWAYS. 

Winners in the game performance categories included Barbara Bang, who received the Slot Debut award for Mustang Freedom, and NetEnt, who was honored with the prestigious Slot Legacy Title for Gonzo's Quest.

Wazdan received Game Feature of the Year for Mystery Drop, Playtech got Game Licensed Content for Cash Collect: Gold Rush, and Amusnet was awarded Game Retro-style for Fruits & Gold. On top of that, ELK Studios took home the prize for Game Design & Art Direction with Metropolis 4. 

Brian Christopher was a big winner taking home both Streamer of the Year and Slot Collaboration of the Year with Gaming Arts for their title Brian Christopher's Pop'N Pays More! Furthermore, AvatarUX won Game Mechanic of the Year for their revolutionary PopWins Mechanic. Additionally, Hannah Farrugia was honored with the Product Manager award for her outstanding achievements with AvatarUX and within the industry.

The great minds behind the industry were also recognized for their contributions, with Iris Wallner of GAMOMAT taking home the Game Composer award and Justin Chamberlain winning the Game Designer award for his work at HungryBear Gaming. SlotCatalog then presented its data-based game studio awards. Print Studios received Rookie of the Year, Push Gaming won Game Studio of the Year, and Play'n GO took home the Game Studio of the Year.

In the Outperforming Game Studio Categories, Snowborn Games were declared the winner in the Small category. Hacksaw Gaming won the Medium award, and Pragmatic Play won in the Large category. Furthermore, Nailed It! Games were honored with the Game Innovation Spotlight award.
