AS: What did Pragmatic Play want to bring to the Gates of Olympus series with this latest release?
As with each new game in the series, Gates of Olympus 2500 builds on what players already love about the original smash-hit slot, injecting fresh features and visuals. While the new title was created around the same formula and visual identity that made the original pack such a punch, it amps up the experience with boosted multipliers, a variety of free spins modes, and wins of up to 25,000x.
AS: Gates of Olympus has become one of Pragmatic Play’s most recognizable franchises. Why is the series so successful?
It's the powerful combination of tried and trusted mechanics, an engaging theme, and exceptional audiovisuals – all energised by the King of the Gods himself. Each iteration is built around those core elements with its pays-anywhere wins (or cluster pays in Fortune of Olympus), tumbling reels, multiplier symbols, and the progressive total multiplier in the bonus game. It’s been five years since Pragmatic Play dropped the original award-winning slot, and it’s still one of the most popular titles in existence. The series has only gone from strength to strength with each subsequent release. The secret to that ongoing popularity is the way Pragmatic Play has managed to evolve the gameplay and the narrative in each new chapter, while never losing sight of its origins.

AS: Why did the team decide to focus on the multiplier symbol when developing Gates of Olympus 2500?
The multiplier symbol is a mainstay in every Gates of Olympus game, active in the base and bonus games of every instalment, so it has never been out of focus! Over the last couple of years, we've seen Pragmatic Play unleash a whole host of slots in the '1000' series – supercharged editions of fan favourites that have all proved incredibly popular thanks to their bigger multipliers and max wins. Now, the new 2500 series is making its mark, amping things up even further with a maximum multiplier value of – you guessed it – 2,500x. In signature Gates of Olympus style, multipliers that land on the same spin are added together at the end of a base game tumbling sequence, while an enhanced progressive total win multiplier features in the various bonus games. It can all add up to that mighty win potential of 25,000x.
AS: Can you tell us more about the various bonus game modes, and what players can expect from them?
Landing at least four scatters in the base game triggers the bonus game. But instead of the feature starting instantly, a wheel spins into action to determine which one of four bonus games will play out. Each shares the same general format, awarding 15 initial free spins, with five more for a retrigger. What’s different in Gates of Olympus 2500 is how the multipliers are awarded.
In previous Gates of Olympus titles, only multiplier symbols appearing on winning spins are added to the progressive total multiplier, which boosts both the current and subsequent wins during the bonus game. Fortune of Olympus shook up that formula, with every single multiplier landing on the reels being added to the total multiplier. Gates of Olympus 2500 takes the concept a step further. There are two core types of bonus game. In Free Spins 1, multipliers are added to the total multiplier only when landing on a winning spin. In Free Spins 2, all multipliers that appear on screen get collected. Both variations can also activate in the Super Free Spins mode, where the minimum multiplier is boosted to 10x. Combine that with those epic potential multipliers of 2,500x and there's the chance to spark some massive wins!

But surely what players will be most excited about is the potential to land even bigger multipliers and unlock different and enhanced bonus game modes, turning every spin into a quest.
