Push Gaming splits its portfolio into Push Originals and Push Action categories and launches a new Reel Hot Games sub-studio.
Push Gaming has been a prominent figure in the iGaming industry since its inception in 2010. In 2025, this UK-based slots provider has more than 40 premium-quality titles behind its belt, many of them player-favorite hits that have occupied online casino top charts for years. Games like Jammin' Jars, Razor Shark, Wild Swarm, and Fat Rabbit have established the studio's reputation as the creator of highly volatile, visually stunning experiences. Push Gaming has always strived to not only create a smoothly-running virtual gambling machine but also a memorable journey that immerses players in captivating environments and keeps them engaged with innovative mechanics.
A closer look at the studio's roadmap in recent years reveals that some of the released titles started shifting to more straightforward, softer gameplay, fitting the current industry trends, although one that has not lost any of the iconic Push Gaming charm. Players who got used to the provider's sharper side with massive win potential and fewer wins in between the spins, may see that as surprising. However, the recent official announcement from the team clarifies this approach in detail and splits the future portfolio into two distinct categories, plus adds a new sub-studio specializing in the third type of slots.
Knowing what to expect from a game before investing hard-earned money in it is always a good thing. Besides the general statistics like RTP, hit frequency, max win, and volatility, being aware of the game's overall profile and the creator's approach can make choosing the right slot for one's playstyle much easier. Here's the breakdown on how the studio will classify its products going forward:
Push Originals
Slots with the usual Push "claw" that can be massively rewarding yet highly volatile. Something for the players who appreciate innovation and are up for trying new things while not shying away from harsh math profiles.
Example games:
Push Action
Slot geared toward having casual fun and potentially allowing for longer sessions while maintaining sizeable win potential. They're likely to include trending mechanics, lower volatility, and more commonplace themes.
Example games:
The third section is not technically a category, but an entire new sub-studio called Reel Hot Games. The team will be responsible for breathing new life into the classic casino feel with contemporary visuals and ultra-smooth gameplay. Something for players who long for a nostalgic feel of a land-based casino with all the fruits, bells, and BARs, but in a style that matches the online industry standards. A debut release showcasing the type of game we're talking about is already out under the name Power Vault.
Following the news, we reached out to Push Gaming for some more information about this exciting change, hoping to shed even more light on it for our readers.
How are you planning to inform players about the category to which the game belongs? Will they be able to choose the right slot right from the casino lobby?
Push Gaming: We launched the new categories and sub-brand alongside our latest release, Bamboo Ways, and soon to follow is an educational campaign for players on our social media channels, breaking down the categories and which games belong to them further. For each new release, it will be nice and clear which category it belongs to. We hope in the future that players will be able to choose the category they wish to play on our website or in casino lobbies, but we’re not quite there yet.
What are Push Gaming's plans regarding the balance between Push Originals and Push Action? Will there be more of one than the other in the roadmap, or are you aiming at a 50/50 split?
Push Gaming: Our roadmap for 2026 is set to be our biggest yet but we’re still to lock it in in its entirety. We are expecting to create more Actions than any other category in the new year, to add to our portfolio. We’re looking to roughly create the same amount of Originals and Reel Hot Games, and there might even be a new category to look out for - watch this space!
Since Push Action games are described as "fun and leisure" some players may feel like that translates into lower win potential. What are the average figures we can expect from that type of slots?
Push Gaming: Push Actions are definitely softer experiences than some of our higher volatility titles in the Push Originals category, where the win/loss potential is turned up to the max. Actions provides players with games that look to pay out at lower rates more regularly. So you actually end up seeing more action across a play session, and ultimately, more wins!
Is the studio planning to make some big swing for Push Originals with a game that goes into hundreds of thousands times the bet for the max win?
Push Gaming: We're never going to put a limit on the types of games we make, and in the spirit of Push Originals and the games that put us on the map, we'll keep pushing the limits when it comes to win potential. So, long story short, never say never!
Classic casino style has been recycled in one way or the other many times by most providers so far. What makes Reel Hot Games products unique and makes you believe that it will succeed?
Push Gaming: Reel Hot Games are classic casino slots but with a Push twist. This means we’ll have the traditional games like fruits, 7s etc but we’ve also put our own spin on this genre. Happy Bamboo is our next release under Reel Hot Games in November, and it leverages our classic Big Bamboo IP but in a completely new style. We’re bringing back a fan-favourite, but within a whole new gaming experience, and we know that works, following the success of Wild Swarm Triple Hive (Wild Swarm theme in a 3 pots mechanic game). The widening of our range isn’t just limited the setting up of the categories, but within each category, players will still find popular themes, characters and mechanics which give our games an edge over what already exists in the market. The same high quality, innovation and creativity you’d expect to see from Push Gaming, just re-imagined.
