Interview with Competition Winner Random__Thug
If there’s one thing we at AboutSlots love, it’s celebrating our winners! Our competitions consistently attract a large number of participants with substantial prizes (check out our current one right here!), and we always take the time to speak with our winners to understand what exactly led them to the top.
Between the months of October and December, we’ve launched a competition in collaboration with Pragmatic Play. The grand prize? Two tickets to Monaco (flight plus accommodation) worth up to €4,000.
Now that the winner has been selected, it’s time to celebrate Random__Thug with a Q&A, talking wins, game favorites, and what really makes the AboutSlots community worth sticking around for.
Here’s what they had to say!
Q: Congratulations on your win! Tell us about the experience.
Random__Thug: Winning such a nice prize is obviously a great experience. I was actually watching the draw live and was surprised to win, as I had not been lucky with this draw previously. Overall, the Pragmatic grand prize giveaway has a good format. I like that you have to play specific new releases to obtain tickets. Not gonna lie, it's a bit time-consuming to collect all the entries and paste replay links, but in the en,d it was worth it this time.
Q: Have you ever won other CasinoDaddy competitions?
Random__Thug: Yes, I’ve won plenty of other smaller competitions, and I think the competitions are a great addition to the community. I would suggest that everyone who plays slots take part in this, because it is not that difficult to win a prize or two each month.
Competitions & Format
Q: Besides competitions, what do you use the AboutSlots forum for?
Random__Thug: I use it primarily for competitions and to check what kind of big wins other community members have achieved. Sometimes, I also participate in bonus hunt guessing competitions. I like that the forum has a section where you can talk about casinos and casino bonuses; unfortunately, that section is not that active
Q: What do you like the most about these competitions?
Random__Thug: Obviously, the prizes are what attract me to participate in these, but I really like that there are so many different providers offering this type of competition. It is a great way to get familiar with the providers, as some of them I would never have encountered if there were no competition going on. I have discovered many slots which I have included in my rotation, thanks to the competitions
Q: What are your thoughts on CasinoDaddy now streaming the competition raffles live?
Random__Thug: I do like that, since it gives visibility to the people who participate in these competitions that the raffles are actually random. It is also a good way to get more people involved since the raffles are held live on stream.
Q: And how about the LIVE giveaways during streams?
Random__Thug: I think the live raffles are liked by everyone! Winning on these live raffles can be quite challenging since there are usually hundreds of people participating. I don’t recall ever winning a live raffle, but maybe that will happen one day :)
Community & Platform
Q: What do you think of the AboutSlots community overall?
Random__Thug: I have been part of the community for around nine years which means I do enjoy being part of it. The community offers something for everyone; some prefer to just watch streamers play slots and not get too involved in the discussion, or not even play slots themselves. Some people enjoy being active chatters and are there just for the daily interaction. The people in the community are generally nice, and they are also welcoming towards newer members.
Q: Are there any AboutSlots features you use the most?
Random__Thug: I mainly use the forum, casino listing to check the latest promoted casinos and bonuses. Occasionally, I also use the slot reviews to check RTPs and max wins.
Casinodaddy & Favorites
Q: Who’s your favorite streamer and why?
Random__Thug: It is impossible to pick a favourite streamer since I’ve been watching CasinoDaddy for nine years. I recall that in the early years, Ante used to be the most degenerate of the streamers, and his streams were the ones I looked forward to the most. Especially during 2018-2019, it was enjoyable to watch him, as he had no profit stream for two consecutive years. Ogge had an exceptional character, and his streams were great. Currently, I think that Masse’s Sunday streams take the cake, and I try to tune in every Sunday. Also, shoutout to Hugges morning (rollercoaster) streams, which I often watch while getting work done.
Q: Is there a CasinoDaddy stream you remember most?
Random__Thug: Definitely one of the anniversary streams from 2019-2022. All of those were special and were really enjoyable to watch. I hope we can bring back the meme openings because these streams were also great and brought a lot of laughter.
Q: What’s your favorite slot of all time?
Random__Thug: Honestly I do not have a favourite slot or a slot provider but If I would have to pick just one slot it will probably be one of the book slots offered by Novomatic.
Q: What’s your favorite casino of all time?
Random__Thug: My favourite casino if I want to play without a deposit bonus is LeoVegas, but I rarely play without a deposit bonus nowadays. There are so many casinos that offer great welcome bonuses, so I use many different sites, and I'm always looking for new sites.
Q: If you could hijack the CasinoDaddy stream for 10 minutes, what would you do?
Random__Thug: Firstly I would check the balance document which casino has the biggest available balance. Then I will go straight to a live game with a kind lady. I will likely come up with a good Ogge story about me being the new COE, and Ebro has been fired. After my 10-minute stream, I would sneak some of the merchandise and Monster cans to take home with me.
