Introduction to Robbits
Robbits is a casino slot from Quickspin that will take you deep underground to a secret hideaway, where a team of quirky criminals prepares a daring heist. Above the surface, the Fur Seasons Casino and Hotel resort awaits, ripe with valuables and money from guests pouring in from around the world. Captain “Eightball” Locke, the Blitz twins, Switch and Glitch and Bob wait for the perfect moment to strike and clean house before anyone notices that something has gone missing. Join the gang and help them pull off the robbery to secure your share in the max win of 4,257x the bet.
Robbits come with plenty of ideas and tools that will help you execute the plan, including upgrading symbols as they collect them around the board, power-ups packed with multipliers, grid expansions, and free spins, where all features remain persistent throughout the entire round. If that description feels somewhat familiar and you have an impression you've seen it before, you're right on the money. Quickspin has modelled this release after Pirots from ELK Studios, but let's give them the benefit of the doubt and find out if they managed to put their own spin on the product. And if you prefer to conduct the investigation yourself, you can do so in the demo version available at the top of this page.

Theme, Gameplay & Payouts
Robbits is a video slot from Quickspin with 5-8 reels, 5-8 rows, and a cluster-collect win system based on four characters collecting adjacent symbols that match their colour. You can choose your stake from a range of options, starting from a Min.bet of 0.2 up to a Max.bet of 100. The game offers a default RTP of 96.02%, which is on the lower end of the industry average but still promises good long-term returns. Additionally, the studio released three lower variants, including 94.19%, 92.07%, and 84.21%. The mathematical profile focuses on less frequent but more sizable wins due to high volatility, while the max win can reach 4,257x the bet. The base game hit frequency sits at the rate of 28.42%.
Robbits have conveniently set up their headquarters right underneath their target. Deep underground, they dug a burrow, where the master plan is being born. And while it's not the most sophisticated hideout you've ever seen, with all the clutter lying around, it serves the purpose. On the walls, you can see various blueprints outlining different levels of the establishment that the little criminals will be robbing, and some everyday objects indicate they're spending their entire days here planning this perfect hit. On the centrally located board, they've laid out different patterns that they're practising before engaging in the real deal. Follow their ambitious struggles on any modern device thanks to the game's optimised design that allows it to be played on all kinds of desktops, smartphones, and tablets.
The paytable in Robbits is structured slightly differently from the ones in regular slots due to a different winning mechanism. There are only four symbols, each of which offers five payout levels, and wins are awarded whenever a character in matching colour collects them.
Blue Cross = 0.1x to 0.5x the bet
Green Lightning = 0.1x to 0.8x the bet
Purple Heart = 0.2x to 1x the bet
Red Diamond = 0.2 to 2.5x the bet
Wilds substitute for all four symbols and can be collected by multiple characters during the same round.
Special Features & Slot Mechanics
What is the max win in the slot Robbits?
You can win up to 4,257x the bet.
What features are available in the slot Robbits?
The features are Cluster-Collect & Cascading, Feature Symbols, Power Ups, Free Spins, and Feature Buy & Ante Bet.

Cluster-Collect & Cascading
At the beginning of every spin, the grid is populated with four Robbits and a mix of regular and special symbols. If a character is next to a regular symbol that matches its colour or any special symbol in a straight horizontal or vertical line, it will move to collect it. Each character gathers as many symbols as it can reach, and once all possible moves have been completed, remaining icons drop down, and new ones enter the view to potentially award further collection possibilities. Once there are no more possible moves after all special features have been played out, the round ends.
Feature Symbols
Whenever a character collects a special symbol, its corresponding feature will be activated once all wins for the current cascade have been evaluated.
Upgrader = upgrades symbols matching the character that collected it by one payout level.
Super Upgrader = upgrades all regular symbols by one payout level.
Helipad = removes all four characters from the grid, expands it by one additional row and column, and brings them back into random positions along with a new set of symbols.
Bonus Symbol = triggers free spins if 3 or more are collected within the same round.
Carrot = triggers the Power Up feature for the character that collected it. Carrots can also land with a multiplier of x1, x2, x3, x5, or x50. Several Carrots collected by the same character will have their multipliers added together.

Power Ups
After collecting a Carrot and once all cascading is over, each character triggers its corresponding Power Up feature.
Red Rabbit = upgrades red regular symbols by two payout levels and makes all characters switch positions. If there's a multiplier active, it will be applied to all characters' collections.
Purple Rabbit = all positions directly around the character are transformed into purple regular symbols, except the Feature Symbols.
Green Rabbit = collects all green regular symbols from the grid without moving.
Blue Rabbit = jumps through other characters' positions if there are blue regular symbols available for collection adjacent to them.
Free Spins
With three or more Bonus symbols collected by any characters during the same spin, you'll receive 6 free spins, plus one extra for every additional Bonus symbol accumulated. Any progressive features, like symbol payout upgrades, grid size, and multipliers achieved on the triggering round, will be carried over to the bonus and will not reset until it ends. They can be further built up throughout free spins.

Feature Buy & Ante Bet
In Robbits, you have two additional options to boost your base game spin or trigger the bonus round immediately for a buy-in that scales with your active bet.
2x = Extra Bet, adding extra Carrot symbols to the reels, thus increasing the chance to trigger Power Ups.
70x = triggers Free Spins with 3 or more Bonus symbols collected.
Final Thoughts on Robbits
With so much casino content pouring into the industry in the first half of the 2020s, repetitiveness became quite an issue among slot creators. Sometimes it's subtle, trying to capitalise on popular mechanics that the majority have already used, but with clever twists that transform the gameplay and deliver a different experience. Other times, it's quite blatant, trying to mimic one supplier's unique format, and that's what we're dealing with in Robbits. Quickspin will undoubtedly feel some backlash from the seasoned players' communities for copying ELK Studios' proprietary CollectR system, but, given the original series' popularity spreading over several instalments, of which Pirots 4 is the latest at the time of writing this review, it's most likely a calculated risk. But does this imitation stand a chance to outperform the birds?
Putting the copycat approach aside for a moment, Robbits is an exceptionally well-made game, full of visible effort to create an entertaining and consistent feel. The quirky vibe carried by a band of criminal animals, each of which has its own identity and speciality in the team, gets the job done. Animations and effects accompanying the features match the theme perfectly, with all the crowbar whacking, carrot consumption, and helicopter raids. Altogether, the entire setting is very tightly-knit and brings loads of positive energy into every spin.
Comparing the technical setup of the original Pirots and Robbits, there are plenty of similarities, but also some differences. Naturally, the core collection mechanism is identical, where each character gathers the adjacent symbols matching its colour, as well as any special ones, to trigger the features. Upgrading payout levels and expanding the grid from 5x5 to 8x8 works the same as well. However, you don't get any progression bar for accumulating wins that would release additional feature symbols onto the grid, and neither are there any instant prizes appearing on coins. Quickspin went another direction, trying to fill in for those absences, and assigned a special modifier to each of the Robbits. One of them functions exactly like the barrel of rum in Pirots, but the three others are quite useful, allowing for more possibilities to collect symbols, while also being able to apply multipliers if the consumed carrot happened to have one. That last bit felt the most influential during our testing, especially in free spins, where all progressive elements become persistent. Still, the multipliers can only take you so far, considering the game's relatively timid max win of 4,257x the bet.
Robbits brings plenty of energy and humour with its unique setting and dynamic gameplay packed with solid features, although the copycat identity of the entire production is a significant downside.
