Introduction to World Eaters
World Eaters is a casino slot from ELK Studios, entertaining an amusing (if you don't take the subject too seriously) prediction on how our dear world could come to an end. Since time immemorial, people have been speculating about all the possible and unlikely scenarios of the total annihilation of the human race or even the entire planet Earth. Natural disasters, nuclear wars, the rapture for the believers, or the alien invasion for the other kind of believers - it's all been considered. In this offbeat production, ELK Studios leans toward the latter, bringing into the picture five colossal monsters from outer space, whose appetite can only be satisfied by devouring people's settlements. Don't worry, though, there are no graphic depictions of their inhabitants being consumed, as the game is kept in a light, cartoon, comedy tone. What's more, in World Eaters, the studio introduces a playstyle we know from a colorful release called Slurpy, which, in turn, is inspired by the CollectR mechanism from the Pirots series. The whole setup is additionally empowered by a range of chaotic features coming from five different worlds.
Let's explore them all and feed the monsters to the point where they explode with wins worth 10,000x the bet. And if you prefer to hone your tactics on how to outsmart them first, check out the demo mode available at the top of this page.

Theme, Gameplay & Payouts
World Eaters is a video slot from ELK Studios with 5 reels, 5 rows, and a unique win system based on collecting symbols by characters of matching colours. Before starting your session, you can choose your stake from a range of options, from a Min.bet of 0.2 up to a Max.bet of 100. The game offers a default RTP of 94.00%, which is significantly lower than the industry standards, which oscillate around 96%-96.5%, so be mindful of potential lower long-term returns. The math model combines medium, which keeps an even balance between the average size of the wins and their frequency, with a max win capped at 10,000x the bet. The base game hit frequency is 30.0%.
In World Eaters, you'll traverse five different worlds during your journey, each offering a unique environment. Despite their slightly varying biomes, all scenes are set outside, in the closeness of nature, with vast landscapes visible in the distance. On the left side of the panel, you'll always see a handy map, showing which world is currently active, while the grid will sit in the middle, initially offering only the primary 5x5 area. As you unlock consecutive realms, certain parts will become enabled to offer more opportunities for wins. Keep a close eye on the types of monsters popping up from behind the top ridge of the panel, as their colours indicate which symbols can be collected. You can begin your otherworldly adventure by launching the game on any modern device, regardless of whether you play on a desktop, a smartphone, or a tablet.
The paytable in World Eaters carries only four regular symbols. They're represented by houses of different shapes and colours. Each one has a single assigned value, which will be awarded for every unit collected by the monster matching its colour. The blue, green, purple, and red houses pay 0.05x, 0.1x, 0.15x, and 0.2x per accumulated symbol, respectively. Several special symbols, like Whale, Pipe, Firework, Tree, and Volcano, can also appear on the grid, although their presence is linked to the activation of a certain world. There are also Coins, Grey Houses, and Multiplier Wilds, which are active at all times.
Special Features & Slot Mechanics
What is the max win in the slot World Eaters?
You can win up to 10,000x the bet.
What features are available in the slot World Eaters?
The features are Collectors & Cascading, Feature Symbols, Worlds, Bonus Game, and Feature Buy (X-iter).

Collectors & Cascading
Two collectors appear at the top at the beginning of every spin. If there are symbols matching their colours present on the grid, which the Collectors can reach in a straight line starting from the top, they will start accumulating them. Once all reachable symbols are collected, the remaining ones rise up the grid, and the view is completed by new symbols added in the bottom positions. After that, the leftmost Collector exists the view, and a new one enters from the right. If more symbols can be collected, the process will continue until there are no more in reach.
Piggy Bank is a special type of Collector that waits next to the grid. Once all wins have been evaluated, it collects all remaining Coins from the grid and can explode on the current or any subsequent spin, triggering a Coin drop and symbol refill.
Feature Symbols
Some of the feature symbols are active at all times, regardless of how many worlds have been unlocked.
Coin = carries a multiplier of the active bet and pays its value when collected.
Grey House = transforms to the colour of an adjacent cluster that can be collected.
Multiplier Wild = substitutes for all regular paying symbols and adds its displayed value to the global win multiplier.

Worlds
You can unlock five worlds while playing World Eaters. The first one is active by default, and each of the four remaining ones requires three feature triggers in the one you're currently at. Every world has its own unique feature that will be activated once the realm is unlocked.
World 1 = active by default. Offers a Whale symbol that clears symbols on the same column and forces a refill.
World 2 = activated after 3 Whale triggers. Unlocks the extra row at the bottom and offers a Pipe symbol that collects random symbols from it.
World 3 = activated after 3 Pipe triggers. Offers a Firework symbol that transforms any Grey Houses into Multiplier Wilds.
World 4 = activated after 3 Firework triggers. Unlocks two extra side columns populated by forests and offers a Tree symbol that converts them and any empty positions adjacent to the Tree into a matching symbol.
World 5 = activated after 3 Tree triggers. Offers a Volcano symbol that, when collected by a Collector, turns it berserk. The affected Collector removes all regular symbols that don't match it or Wilds, and adds its own matching symbols.

Bonus Game
If you manage to lock in 3 Bonus symbols at the end of a spin anywhere on the grid, you'll trigger the Bonus Game with 3 Super Drops. The game is played on a larger 7x7 grid and a persistent win multiplier, but with no world-related special symbols present. Instead, there's a UFO symbol that activates the Ultra Beast. It's the ultimate Collector that chases away the regular ones and consumes all symbols on the grid. It can retrigger several times in a row.
Feature Buy (X-iter)
Like many other games from ELK Studios, the World Eaters slot comes with the X-iter menu that contains several options for triggering features and bonuses for a set price.
3x = Bonus Hunt with a high chance of triggering the Bonus Game.
5x = Mega Bonus Hunt with a higher chance of triggering the Bonus Game.
25x = Epic Bonus Hunt with the highest chance of triggering the Bonus Game.
100x = Regular Bonus Game.
500x = Super Bonus Game, with a global win multiplier starting from 10x.
Final Thoughts on World Eaters
For some years now, ELK Studios has been known as a provider that doesn't shy away from unorthodox ideas for game mechanics. Many of the provider's productions proved that you can combine gambling with massively ingenious playstyles beyond the usual reels filled with paylines, ways, or clusters. Let examples like Mine Defender, Orbitfall, Rogue Rats of Nitropolis, and Pirots 4 speak for themselves. With the latter, the creators shook up the industry quite intensely, introducing the innovative CollectR system, which may have appeared too out of the box initially, but was quickly accepted and appreciated by countless players worldwide. The fact that the series has hit 4 instalments in just two years is more than proof that there's a demand for this type of unique gameplay. This entire preamble is to highlight that World Eaters is another brainy production of a similar type, basing its mechanics on collecting symbols that match the colour of the Collector. It may not be brand new, as we already got acquainted with this format in Slurpy, however, this time, you'll have two out of four Collectors present above the grid at the same time from the start, and they will continuously rotate after triggering the collection. It’s a good anticipation builder, as you never know which World Eater will step in next, compared to Pirots, for example, where you could more or less see if there are more chances for birds to reach new symbols.
The core mechanism is also complemented by a seemingly extensive progression between five worlds, where each unlocks a new feature. Seemingly, because during our first playthrough, we've reached the fifth world in under 400 spins, which felt relatively quick, and we were prepared for a much more tedious journey. The progress felt dynamic, and the modifiers you unlocked in the meantime surprisingly helpful. You can also feel the game's medium volatility in action, as a lot is going on when things start to unravel, and stretches of dead spins are not so bothersome. Even the organic bonus triggers occurred more frequently than we suspected, although they confirmed medium volatility from the other side of the medal, awarding timid wins on most occasions. Due to the extremely low value of single regular symbols and no possibility of upgrading them, even the Ultra Beast failed to deliver any massive hits. Still, it's a game chock full of engagement wrapped in a humorous, quirky theme that's just impossible to ignore.
World Eaters is an amusing second attempt at utilizing the alternative CollectR system, packed with entertaining features and dynamic gameplay.
