Ronny vs Donny is a silly, not-so-serious game about fighting pigs, and we love it for it. The theme is definitely a bit special, and PoggiPlay has finally shown us how to deliver on interesting visuals, as they’ve done before with their 3D releases. However, that isn’t to say Ronny vs Donny is a perfect game, but it is one we kinda enjoyed checking out and felt like a breath of fresh air after a stint of mediocre releases. Compared to these other releases, like Aztec Maiden or Roman Coin, which were released only a handful of months prior, Ronny vs Donny brings character, which was sorely missed in the previous games.
If we go over the gameplay, the base game does offer a good enough paytable, with the occasional Wilds, more specifically, the Golden Wilds. Strangely enough, the features of this game help give the game quite a lot of character, and Golden Wilds being one of them, with the first pig to get a hit depending on if you get a Bronze or Silver Wild, both of which are welcome results. But the game isn’t really all about its base game, nor even its Glory Clash Free Spins, even though the Punch Multipliers are a nice plus; it is about the unique Final Showdown bonus game. While it’s definitely not the first 2-stage bonus game in the industry, the Final Showdown offers a pretty solid balance, where the first stage builds the hype, and the second delivers the wins.
