Introduction to Roman Coin
Roman Coin is a casino slot from PoggiPlay that takes us back to the foundation of the Roman Empire. Set in a war camp, here we meet Caesar Augustus, the first emperor of the Roman Empire, and we’re welcomed to take some spoils of the war. Roman-themed games aren’t exactly the most popular, but far from rare, as we see a few releases every now and then, and they can be pretty wide in setting, such as following a hunting party in Peter & Son’s Roman Glory, or experience a day in the colosseum in Backseat Gaming’s Roman Bonanza. In the same vein, Roman Coin tries to tell a story, as we find ourselves in a war camp with various weapons and armor across the playing grid, and, of course, Caesar Augustus branded Feature Symbols as our main stars of the show. These include the Scatter Coin Symbol, which comes with Cash Prices ranging from 0.5X to 50X the bet, and Multiplier Wild Symbols, which triple as a Collector Symbol as well, with Multiplier Values going up to 15X. Those symbols are the extent of the gameplay loop, which then only goes more volatile in the Free Spins feature with its Total Win Pot, which can help you hit the max win of 2,500X the bet.
Travel back in time and relish in the spoils of war from the enemies of the new Roman Empire, where Scatter Coins and Multiplier Wilds come together for consistent prizes. If you want to try the game for yourself, then check out the Roman Coin demo.

Theme, Gameplay, & Payouts
Roman Coin is a video slot from PoggiPlay with 5 Reels, 3 Rows, and 19 Paylines. You can choose between making a Min.bet of 0.05 and a Max.bet of 100. Roman Coin offers a slightly higher-than-average RTP of 96.4%, medium/high volatility, and a rather low max win of 2,500X the bet.
We meet Caesar Augustus outside of his tent, where we can do an inventory check of the latest battle. From here, we can see a bit of the rest of the camp, with similar large red tents, and during the bonus game, we can even enter one of them, where coins are sprawled all over the floor. You can play the game on most desktops, mobiles, and notepads.
The lower-paying symbols are 10, J, Q, K, and A. Creating a win with 5 of the same symbols will pay out 2X to 6X the bet. The higher-paying symbols are swords, a shield, a mace, bow and arrows, and a helmet. Landing a win with 5 of the same symbols pays out 10X to 50X the bet. Then there are two Special Symbols which can do quite a lot, and these are Scatter Coin and Multiplier Wild Symbols, but more on them in the next section.

Final Thoughts on Roman Coin
Roman Coin is one of the many games that incorporate PoggiPlays recognizable 3D graphics, which may not be as prevalent in their more recent releases but laid the foundation for the studio. Visually, while maybe a bit boring, Romain Coin doesn’t look that bad, and its cartoony and silly 3D model of Caesar Augustus is probably what the studio spent the most time on. When it comes to the theme, PoggiPlay does something slightly different than many other Roman-themed games, as we usually see them end up in some sort of colosseum or gladiator setting. But, at the end of the day, most don’t care for themes or visuals, even if they’re 3D, so let us instead talk about the game’s features.
When it comes to gameplay, PoggiPlay took some of the most used Special Symbols in the industry and packed them into the Scatter Coin and Multiplier Wild Collector Symbols, which, in a strange sense, kinda works. While we wouldn’t say this is the end-all be-all of features, as the symbols work in conjunction with each other, we can’t deny that it does lead to some unrewarding spins, as Scatter Coin symbols will regularly fill up the playing grid, not being able to do anything if it does trigger a Bonus Game or land alongside a Multiplier Wild Symbol. This makes it so the game does get kinda hampered with the Multiplier Wild Symbol, and it’s not even for the Multiplier or Wild part of it, just the Collector effect, even in the bonus game. All in all, Roman Coin isn’t a bad game, but even if we like the idea of feature-packed symbols on paper, in practice, many spins don’t feel rewarding enough because of the lack of bonus effects from the theoretically bonus-filled symbols.
Roman Coin takes us back in time to hang out with the first emperor of the Roman Empire, where Scatter Coin and Multiplier Wild Collectors try to get us a piece of the spoils of war.
