Introduction to Roman Glory

Roman Glory is a casino slot from Peter & Sons that takes you into the woods to hunt more than just glory. We here at AboutSlots definitely have a thing for Peter & Sons, and if you’re as into them as we are, then you would know that this isn’t their first hunting-themed, nor even their first Roman-themed slot game out there, as seen with games like Peter Hunter, released in 2023, and Rome - The Conquerors, released in 2021. While it may not be an exact comparison, this game is probably based on Commodus, a Roman Emperor known for his obsession with fighting and hunting, even entering the arena as a gladiator himself, and taking it so far that he believed he was a reincarnation of Hercules. But enough about that, and let us turn back to Roman Glory, which is a game with the Hold Coin Collecting mechanic and 3 types of Respin Bonus Games, each with its own Bonus effect, and where you can pick up additional Jackpot Prizes, worth up to the max win of 5,000X the bet.

Be it with a bow and arrow or spear and shield, get ready for a trip to the woods, where the biggest catch isn’t an animal, but Coin Cash Prizes and Jackpots from one of the Respin Bonus Games. If you want to play for yourself, be sure to check out the Roman Glory demo beforehand.

Theme, Gameplay & Payouts

Roman Glory is a video slot from Peter & Sons with 5 Reels, 4 Rows, and 40 Paylines. You can choose between making a Min.bet of 0.1 and a Max.bet of 200. Roman Glory comes with a higher-than-average RTP of 96.50%, a hit frequency of 24.1%, and medium/high volatility, where wins will hit regularly enough, but wins can vary in size quite a bit, always giving you a chance to hit the max win 5,000X the bet.

Roman Glory is set inside the forest where the hunting party has set up a small camp, and as you spin, a thrilling soundtrack plays, with the occasional animal growl when you hit the corresponding symbols. You can play the game on most notepads, desktops, and mobiles.

The lower-paying symbols are the green clover, blue spade, pink diamond, and red heart. Creating a win with 5 of the same symbols will pay out 1X the bet. The higher-paying symbols are a horn, an axe, the Wild Hunter, the Soldier, and the Emperor. Landing a win with 5 of the same symbols pays out 2.5X to 5X the bet. The Special Symbols are the Wild, Coin, Collect, and various Scatter Symbols, but more on those in the next section.

There are three types of different Respins bonus games
Respins

Wild Symbols

Wild Symbols help form winning combinations by being able to substitute for all paying symbols, except Coin, Collect, and Scatter Symbols.

Hold and Win Coin Collecting

Coin Symbols can land at any time, carrying different Cash values that are based on and multiplied by the current bet. Whenever a Cash Collect Symbol lands in the base game, it will collect the values of all Coin Symbols and payout.

Respin Bonus Game

Above reels 2, 3, and 4, there are three types of animals, and landing a respective animal Scatter Symbol on the corresponding reel has a chance to trigger that Respin Bonus Game. The Respin Bonus Games start with 3 spins and reset with each hit, and each bonus is as follows:

Bull Infinity Bonus Game = All Coin Values are collected in a Vault next to the playing grid, and there are Multiplier Symbols, with values ranging from 2X to 10X, that can appear on the reels to add to Coin Symbols on the reels.

Boar Multiplier Bonus Game = Adds a Multiplier Reel above the playing grid that spins with each spin, showing a Multiplier of 2X, 3X, and 5X, which are applied to new Coin and Collect Symbols that land that spin. Coin and Collect Symbols also stick to the playing grid.

Bear Fireball Bonus Game = Adds a locked 5x4 playing grid above the normal playing grid. Coins and Fireball symbols will land and stick to the playing grid, with Fireball symbols adding the values of up to 4 other Coin symbols on the grid to themselves before turning into a Coin Symbol. The more Coin Symbols you land on the playing grid, the more rows will be unlocked on the additional playing grid.

Mega Prizes

During any of the three bonus games, you can collect Wreaths, which randomly show up on Coin Symbols, which will be added to any of the Mega Prize Collect Meters, and when filled, will award the corresponding Jackpot, and they are as follows.

Mini Jackpot = Awards 10X the bet, needing 2 Wreaths.

Minor Jackpot = Awards 50X the bet, needing 3 Wreaths.

Major Jackpot = Awards 1,000X the bet, needing 4 Wreaths.

Grand Jackpot = Awards 5,000X the bet, needing 5 Wreaths.

There are 3 Feature Buy and 1 Ante Bet options to choose between
Feature Buy

Ante Bet

By turning on the Ante Bet, you double your chances of triggering the Bonus Games, at the price of increasing your current bet by 1.5X.

Feature Buy

There are 3 types of Feature Buys, which allow you to instantly trigger any of the 3 Bonus Games at a price based on the current bet.

40X = Awards the Bear Fireball Bonus Game.

50X = Awards the Bull Infinity Bonus Game.

60X = Awards the Boar Multiplier Bonus Game.

Final Thoughts on Roman Glory

Roman Glory feels right at home in the Peter & Sons portfolio, as theme-wise we’ve seen some similar games over the years, but not enough to feel like the same game or copies of each other. As usual, we’re also big fans of Peter & Sons’ usual animation and graphic style, however, we must say that we wish we had seen something a bit more, as Roman Glory doesn’t exactly hit that right spot of a modern 2026 release, and feels more like something we would’ve seen a handful of years ago from the same studio. That isn’t to say that we think the game is ugly, just not enough to really grab our attention as many other Peter & Sons releases do. But enough about visuals, as many players don’t really care for them, and let us instead talk about the gameplay.

Before bringing up any features, we want to quickly mention the stats, with a higher-than-average RTP of 96.5%, a hit frequency of 24.5%, and an okay max win of 5,000X the bet. As the game is mostly centered around Coin Cash Values, the symbol paytable isn’t that strong, with it ranging from 1X to 5X from its lowest value to its highest. The Coin Collecting mechanic works fine in the base game, and isn’t really anything that feels all too exciting, nor all too disappointing when it happens. There isn’t really much else to say than that the base game can feel a bit one-dimensional, as the game is actually all about its Respin Bonus Games, which are where the majority of your payouts are gonna come from. The different bonus games can be a bit hit or miss, as some of them can go on forever, with minimal payouts, or some can be over in a few spins, but thanks to bonuses like Multipliers can payout a quick, sizable bulk. Overall, the game is fine, with the three different types of Respins being the highlight of the game, but outside of that, the base game can feel a bit empty with the occasional Coin Collect. If you want to test it out for yourself, be sure to check out the Roman Glory demo.
