We wanted to move away from the traditional and repetitive football slot formula and its heavy focus on stadiums, tournaments, and matchday experiences. With Ronaldinho’s Streetball Bonanza, we aim to explore a different side of football culture, where creativity, personality, and self-expression really shine. 

That’s why this street football theme aligns perfectly with Ronaldinho’s legacy of being one of the best dribblers and creative players ever. The result is a game that hopefully feels more vibrant and modern than your typical sports-themed slot, while still delivering the expected excitement.

Q. How did the flair of street football and samba translate into the gameplay?

Momentum was one of the main ideas behind the game from the start. Street football is all about quick moves, creativity, and constant action, so we wanted the gameplay to have the same vibe.

The scatter pays mechanic, and Cascading Wins keep the game dynamic, while the Street Cred meter gives players something to build towards during the base game. As it fills up, it can randomly trigger the Bonus Game, playing on the spontaneity and creativity often associated with street football.

We also added Multipliers to create those moments where normal spins can suddenly turn into sudden big wins. Combined with the visuals and a samba soundtrack, the goal was to capture some of the energy, unpredictability, and personality that make street football so exciting to watch and play.

Q. Which of the game’s features do you think best reflect Ronaldinho’s creative style of play?

For me, it’s the combination of Cascading Wins and Multipliers. Those features work together to create an element of unpredictability that mirrors the way Ronaldinho approached football throughout his career. You always felt like something special could happen whenever he had the ball, and we wanted players to experience a similar sense of anticipation while playing the game. We think it’s that element of surprise that captures his personality more than any single visual or branding element could.

Q.  How does a major sports event, such as the FIFA World Cup, influence Booming Games?

Major sporting events definitely remind us of the power of shared experiences. The World Cup is one of, if not the biggest, that brings together people from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds around a common passion. While slot games are obviously a very different form of entertainment, the core is similar.

We think players want experiences that feel exciting, memorable, and easy to connect with. Events like the World Cup also highlight the importance of timing and cultural relevance, which are factors we consider when planning our release calendar and content strategy.

Q. How did the team ensure Ronaldinho’s Streetball Bonanza would appeal to both football enthusiasts and regular slot players?

That balance was extremely important to us. Football fans will appreciate the Ronaldinho connection, the Brazilian street football setting, and the overall atmosphere of the game. However, we never wanted the theme to be the sole reason someone plays it.

The gameplay had to stand on its own merits. That’s why we focused heavily on delivering engaging mechanics, strong tempo, and rewarding features. It should appeal to slot players regardless of whether they follow football. The theme should enhance the experience rather than define it entirely.

Q. What part of the game’s development are you personally most proud of?

The visual identity is probably what stands out most to me. We took a conscious decision to avoid the safer, more traditional sports-themed approach. The urban Brazilian setting, bold artwork, and energetic samba soundtrack should create an atmosphere that feels unique within the football slot category.

Q. How will the experience from Streetball Bonanza influence future Booming Games releases?

For us, one of the biggest lessons is the importance of creating experiences that feel authentic to both the brand and the players. I think the strongest branded games aren’t successful because of a famous name alone. They’re successful because the gameplay, presentation, and brand identity all work together naturally.
