Gaming Corps is back with a new edition in their "3 Pigs series," where we have previously enjoyed slots such as 3 Pigs of Olympus. This time, the pigs have moved from the gods up in Olympus to meet pirates in the edition 3 Pigs of the Caribbean. We were curious about what this release has to offer, so we contacted Adam Pentecost, Director of Customer Success at Gaming Corps, to find out more.

1. The Pigs are back! What inspired the high-seas theme for 3 Pigs of the Caribbean, and how does it build on the success of 3 Pigs of Olympus?
AP: Due to the overwhelming success of Olympus, we're now taking the Pigs on a fresh new adventure, this time with a fun pirate twist. 3 Pigs of the Caribbean sees players join the three swashbuckling pigs on their hunt for fortune among sun-drenched islands and creaking pirate ships.
The pirate theme not only resonates as a fun experience within the online gaming space, but it's also one of the strongest themes of recent years to be employed by rival providers. This makes it a thrilling new landscape for our Pigs to be exploring on their future adventure.
2. This instalment seems packed with new features. Can you walk us through the Bonus Hold & Win mechanic and how the Pig Coins influence the gameplay?
AP: 3 Pigs of the Caribbean was designed to be all-action, and at the heart of it all is the Bonus Hold & Win Game. This builds player engagement through offering a host of prizes available from collectors, jackpots, and money, along with multipliers, extra life, and enlarged reels.
Hold & Win is triggered by landing six or more Prize Coin symbols or a combination of Prize and Pig Coins. Once activated, players set sail on a bonus round that can expand to a 5x5 grid, where every spin offers new treasures to discover. Each of the three Pig Coins brings its own brand of mischief and reward.
The Red Pig expands the grid and adds new win possibilities, the Yellow Pig boosts prizes with multipliers of up to x10 and can award random values of up to 100x the total bet, while the Blue Pig adds extra respins and can also deliver random values of up to 100x the bet. Being able to trigger more Pigs during the feature helps expand your potential and build a better bonus outcome.
3. The Prize Gem system adds a long-term progression angle. Was it designed with retention in mind?
AP: The Prize Gem mechanic actually helps upsell the game's potential. It adds long-term treasure hunting to the mix, with four collectable tiers: Mini, Minor, Major, and Grand - each unlocked through colour-coded progress bars.
When a bar is filled, a matching Prize Gem drops onto the grid, delivering a haul worthy of the high seas. Best of all, they are hit fairly frequently, so it's something the player can really look forward to and aim for as they play, taking the excitement to the next level.
4. With 243 ways to win and multiple grid expansions, volatility is likely to be high. How would you describe the risk/reward experience for players?
AP: Yes, I think we could describe the game as higher in volatility, but don't expect barren runs for long. The game has an RTP of up to 95.81% and a rich tapestry of features that blend instant rewards with long-term engagement. If you're lucky, you might even walk away with the 10,000x top prize!
Our 3 Pigs are fun characters, employed within smart mechanics, and provide big win potential, and they're now on their most daring voyage yet. That's why the Gaming Corps team believes 3 Pigs of the Caribbean represents a major evolution in our Pigs franchise.
5. From a design and animation standpoint, the game feels very character-driven. What role do the pigs play in enhancing player immersion and brand building?
AP: The Pigs are the real face of Gaming Corps, and we couldn't be prouder of them. They have become a cornerstone of our portfolio and a player favourite around the world. We have a brilliant and ever-expanding art team, who play a huge part in delivering high-quality art and animation, which is one of our fundamental pillars of making an engaging, fun, and entertaining slot.
Our games always have the potential to expand and are stuffed full of action, which means you're always on your toes as to the next bonus trigger. It's this kind of thrill that keeps our players coming back time and time again.
6. What kind of players do you see gravitating toward this title, and what markets or demographics is it targeting?
AP: We're very confident that 3 Pigs of the Caribbean will deliver the 'squeakquel' players want to the hugely successful 3 Pigs of Olympus. The classic 3 Pot mechanics found in Caribbean's Hold & Win Game transcend multiple markets, while offering something different in the series and also building on what its predecessor, Olympus, did right.
We love talking about our Gaming Corps Pigs! Hopefully, you'll love playing as much as we have loved building this incredible game. The journey will soon continue with (spoiler alert) 3 Pigs of Xmas 20,000. Then in 2026, there will be Easter's Hop and Win, while our favourite porkers will be pumping iron in 4 Gym Pigs: Porky Power.
And there's more to come from our divine trotters, because Pigs of Olympus 2 - Rise of the Demi Hog will be released in June next year, so there's plenty to look forward to!
We would like to thank Adam Pentecost, Director of Customer Success at Gaming Corps, for participating in the interview and wish him the best of luck with the game's release.
