Exco Game Studio: A new force in iGaming from a former founder of Yggdrasil.

Early this year, a small studio popped out of seemingly nowhere, announcing that it’s here to change the game, and backed with these bold words sits Fredrik Elmqvist, who is known for his work as CEO and founder of Yggdrasil since its establishment in 2013. Nowadays, we see new studios pop up out of nowhere almost monthly, for better or for worse, and Exco Game Studio might just sound like a big talker in an industry with giants that made their claim long ago. However, like another studio we talked about a few weeks ago, that being Sneaky Slots, we have the impression that Exco Game Studio is here to make itself known.

The first thing you should know about Exco Game Studio is that it states that it is not here to blend in with its competition but to change the game, and that’s what Fredrik Elmqvist has preached since its inception. The studio prides itself on its mission to take no shortcuts, building every game from scratch and releasing no half-baked product, and with that, it throws some shade at its fellow peers. As Exco itself states, it will remain independent as a way to create and perfect what they want to release for the players, and not go through corporate meddling or unnecessary meetings.

The first three upcoming games from the new studio Exco Game Studio

As of this writing, Exco Game Studio has not yet released its first game, but it has been teased and goes by the name of VEGASCALINE, along with the runner-ups Robbin’ Goblins and TRiGGR. Judging from the studio’s mission, or as they call it, DNA, which aims never to recycle ideas, no clichés, and never to release a bad product, we anxiously anticipate the release later this September. We recommend keeping an eye out for the new studio, as it has shown a lot of promise, which we hope it can keep up with. With the backing of an industry veteran, we believe that Exco Game Studio can genuinely make a name for itself, and we invite you to join us as we follow them on their journey.
