While the two themes in Taco Libre: Cash Collect Max are quite common, as seen with games like Masked Mayhem from Push Gaming and the Taco Brother series from ELK Studios, we’ve rarely, if ever, seen these two combined, which feels like a rather obvious match. However, while we think the theme idea is fun and interesting, we also think Playtech just didn’t hit the mark, as its presentation and visuals aren’t very compelling, and it feels like they didn’t really try to mix the themes at all, which is a bit disheartening. Even so, there are a few things we do enjoy about the game, such as the idea that spicier tacos mean bigger prizes, but that still feels like a rather small detail in an otherwise lacking product.
When it comes to gameplay, Taco Libre: Cash Collect Max feels like most other Cash Collect titles, with very little that helps it stand out except for maybe its Free Spins Upgrades, but even these are rather uninspired and add very little to the spins. The core game plan boils down to hitting Collect Symbols for Cash Values and Jackpot prizes, just like many other familiar titles, meaning that the game really struggles to keep our attention when there’s just nothing unique or interesting going on with its spins. But that doesn’t mean that we think the game is bad, just lacking and feeling uninspired. However, if you’re someone who enjoys more traditional and simple Cash Collect formulas, you can definitely find some volatile spins, especially as the max win is just one Ultimate Jackpot prize away from landing.
