Mystical Dragons comes with a lower-than-average RTP of 95.5%, a hit frequency of 32.09%, medium/high volatility, and a max win of 9,200X the bet. However, do take note that the game comes in multiple versions with lower RTPs at 94%, 92%, and 90.5%.
As with many other old-school releases, especially those with a similar theme, the game is set against a red background on a golden playing grid. Outside of that, there isn’t really much to speak of when it comes to theme, as it’s more or less the same thing we’ve seen before.

Wild Dragon Collector Symbols
There are multiple types of Dragon Symbols, but all of them work like a Wild, being able to substitute for any symbol, and a Collector, being able to cash out any reward from the Cash Egg and Coin Symbols. As you land Dragon Symbols, you will unlock new Special Dragons in different colors, and they are as follows:
Green Dragon = This is the standard Wild Dragon Collector Symbol you start with.
Blue Boost Bonus Dragon = Unlocked after landing 5 Dragons. Will shoot fireballs at random towards any Egg or Coin Symbols, boosting their values or increasing their Jackpot tier.
Purple Multi Bonus Dragon = Unlocked after landing 10 additional Dragons. Will add a Multiplier, up to 4X, to any Egg or Coin Symbols landed within the reel window.
Red Respin Bonus Dragon = Unlocked after landing 15 additional Dragons. If any Eggs or Coins land alongside it, the Respin Dragon will lock in place and Respin the remaining reels, trying to add extra Eggs and Coins. Random Reel Bonuses
There are two types of Random Gong Bonuses that can trigger. The first, which can randomly start at the start of a spin, will make a wave of fire hit the reels, guaranteeing a Dragon Symbol with some Eggs and Coin Symbols. The second Random Reel Bonus will randomly, at the end of a spin, nudge a Dragon Symbol up or down on the center reel.
Free Spins

Final Thoughts on Mystical Dragons
Reflex Gaming has been around for decades at this point, and we’re pretty used to their releases at this point. However, that doesn’t mean we just let anything slide, as the studio seems very dedicated to keeping it old-school, which means many of their releases often feel outdated upon arrival. Among these games is Mystical Dragons, as, visually, it can easily be mistaken for a game from about a decade ago, and it doesn’t help that it is one of the least original games we’ve seen in a while when it comes to its theme.
Gameplay-wise, we find a pretty simple Cash Collect mechanic, but with some added layers thanks to the different Collect Symbols and their Progressive Levels. We actually appreciate this small extra complexity, as it adds variation to spins and always gives you something to aim for. However, the Cash Collect mechanic is not perfect, as the actual Cash, in the form of Egg Symbols, has a pretty atrocious paytable, and the Jackpot Coins aren’t exactly consistent. This means that while it may be an interesting mechanic, it’s not very fun, and even the Random Reel Bonuses and Free Spins can feel pretty disappointing, even when they help create payouts. So, while Mystical Dragons has a very engaging part to its mechanics, it doesn’t save it from its unoriginal theme and lackluster wins, making it so that we’re not sure if players would stick around for longer sessions when there are better alternatives.
Mystical Dragons is another old-school release from Reflex Gaming, with a pretty outdated mix of features and visuals that even its few interesting parts can’t carry.
