When we first started checking out this game, we were quite disappointed by the boring, unoriginal theme, especially since we know the studio can deliver something more interesting and engaging. In a world of nearly endless slot releases, Lost Mummy Treasures hasn’t really done anything to try and stand out or even make us want to check it out, as it’s visually boring, even though it has good graphics and beautifully vibrant colors. Comparing this game to the prior release of Banana X, which, while being quite light on features, screams character, and has a very fun and silly theme. Of course, there are many players out there who don’t care about themes or graphics, but to us, they are an important piece when it comes to slots that help players stay engaged and immersed in the game, and helps slot stand out, especially when it comes to an overstaurated theme such as Egyptian mythology.
Moving over to discuss more of the gameplay, we can start with the stats, and the game comes with some rather average ones, with an RTP of 96.21% and a max win of 5,000X the bet. As the game is centered around its two Special Mystery Symbol variants, which help make paylines, the paytable is also pretty solid. The Special Mystery Symbols are a good enough feature that shows up every now and then, and when landing more than one can usually lead to a winning combination, especially if there are a Wild or two mixed in. However, these also lead to the Lucky Player’s Choice, a bit of a unique bonus where you can predict what symbols show up for a chance to get a Multiplier prize, which is an addition we really liked and was fun to play around with, especially if you guessed correctly. The Free Spins versions aren’t all too different from each other, but can be kinda fun with sticky Special Mystery Symbols taking over the reels, with the Special version just having Gold Special Symbols instead.
