Introduction to Law of Athena
Law of Athena is a casino slot from Blue Ring Studios, taking you on a mythological adventure through ancient Greece to meet the goddess of wisdom and strategic warfare. Athena is considered one of the most renowned Hellenic deities, typically depicted as a powerful woman clad in armour, wielding a spear and a shield, while accompanied by an owl. It's a compelling image that highlights all her core qualities and the areas of her patronage. In this production, she appears as a charming young lady, but don't be fooled by her mild outlook, as she brings some potent features along. With her help, you'll be able to amass great riches from gold coins and jackpot symbols landing on the grid, as well as the Wild Reels which will make forming standard winning combinations easier. Trust in Athena's instincts, and she may lead you to wins worth over 5,000x the bet.
If you prefer to explore ancient Greece on your own, the demo mode at the top of the page offers risk-free gameplay where you can test all the game's features.

Theme, Gameplay & Payouts
Law of Athena is a video slot from Blue Ring Studios with 5 reels, 3 rows, and 10 paylines. You can choose your stake from a range of options, starting from a Min.bet of 0.2, which makes the game quite affordable, up to a Max.bet of 40, suitable for high-rollers. The math model offers a default RTP of 96.24%, with two lower variants of 94.20% and 92.21% also released for operators, so be sure to check the version you're playing. Due to the medium volatility rating, you may expect the average balance between the size and the frequency of wins to be relatively even. You will experience a base hit frequency of 23.94%, with a max win of 5,480x the bet.
The game's main scene comes with a polished, cartoony design, depicting Athena as a young blonde woman dressed in red and white armour, standing guard next to the grid. The playing panel takes the form of a Greek temple, with classic marble columns supporting the characteristic triangular roof. Gold coins pile up in front of it, covering the stairs, and proving that there are great riches to be found here. In the background, a sublime adventure tune amplifies the glorious mood of the majestic ancient Greece. If you're ready for your audience with the goddess, you can launch the game on any modern device, whether you prefer to play on a desktop, a smartphone, or a tablet.
In the paytable, two distinct sets of symbols form the payout hierarchy, where you need at least 3 matching ones to form a win. Each successful sequence must begin from the leftmost reel, proceed along adjacent ones, and cover any of the active paylines. Among the low-paying icons, you'll recognise playing card ranks, such as J, Q, K, and A, awarding from 4x to 7.5x the bet for a complete payline of 5. A vase, a ship, a helmet, and a portrait of Athena represent the high-paying symbols, delivering payouts of between 25x and 150x the bet for a payline running across all 5 reels. There are also several special symbols available in the game, such as Wilds depicted by a double lightning, Coins with cash and jackpot prizes, and Owl symbols granting a multiplier increase.
Special Features & Slot Mechanics
What is the max win in the slot Law of Athena?
You can win up to 5,480x the bet.
What features are available in the slot Law of Athena?
The features are Wild Reels, Coin Prizes, Bonus Multiplier, Treasure Bonus, and Athena Feature.

Wild Reels
Whenever a Wild symbol lands on reel 2, 3, or 4, it will highlight one of the lightning bolts visible above it. Once both lightning bolts are active, the reel becomes a full Wild Reel for the next 2 spins, and then the meter resets.
Coin Prizes
Coin symbols carry instant cash prizes or jackpots, whose value is determined by the reel they land on. To secure a payout from those symbols, you must land them on at least 3 consecutive reels, starting from the left, in any vertical position. On reels 1-3, prizes range between 0.5x and 5x the bet. On reel 4, they range between 5x and 8x the bet, and may also award a Mini (10x) or Minor (20x) jackpot. On the last reel, only jackpots are available, adding Major (50x) and Grand (500x) to the available options.

Bonus Multiplier
The Bonus Multiplier increases by 1x with every Owl symbol landing in view, and it can grow up to x10 maximum. Whenever the Coin Prize is triggered, all rewards are boosted by the current Bonus Multiplier, which then resets back to x1.
Treasure Bonus
Any Coins that don't result in a win are collected in the coin pile next to the grid. Randomly, upon such a collection, the feature may trigger and award a spin on a wheel. The wheel awards a cash prize between 2x and 20x the bet or one of the jackpots.
Athena Feature
At the beginning of any spin, Athena may add Wilds, Coins, or the highest paying regular symbols in random positions on the grid.
Final Thoughts on Law of Athena
Blue Ring Studios, which operates under Games Global, has about a dozen games under its belt at the time of writing this review, but none of them is particularly impressive. The provider has been dabbling in mechanics that most teams under that aggregator have tried, from Link&Win and Epic Strike variants to some other straightforward math models based on cash collection. Unfortunately, Law of Athena doesn't seem like it's about to break the cycle, being a simple clone of Law of Zeus, a release from 2025. For some reason, the creators thought that another identical game, also set in ancient Greece, was needed in the portfolio, although it might just have been a decision resulting from pressing timelines and a necessity to fill up the Games Global roadmap. The latter is actually more likely due to a complete lack of creativity in the setting, which appears to be a quick asset flip, with most of the elements, like the grid frame and many of the symbols, remaining identical.
Being a one-to-one copy, Law of Athena offers the same set of features as its masculine predecessor, splitting the action between collecting cash prizes from coins and scoring regular wins with the help of Wild Reels. The latter can be quite helpful if you sync them up well to have at least two, or hopefully all three, active at the same time, since the paytable payouts can be quite lucrative, with the top symbol paying 150x for a 5-of-a-kind hit. Coin prizes may not feel too impressive at first, especially since the most valuable ones are placed in the farther reels, but that's what the Bonus Multiplier is for. When maxed out to x10, even a bunch of low, single-digit coins can result in a satisfying win. All in all, it's a simple setup, which we've seen countless times in the Games Global portfolio, based on commonplace mechanics.
Law of Athena is a simple clone, offering a plain mythological theme and gameplay based on cash collections combined with Wild Reels.
