Final Thoughts on Flight of Fire
Almighty Pegasus was an enjoyable release that really expanded on the Connect & Collect feature in a good sense, even if the game itself wasn’t the greatest, either visually or gameplay-wise. So, now over a year later, Atomic Slot Lab delivers on Flight of Fire, aiming to fine-tune on the new foundation, with yet another mythological creature-theme. In that sense, Flight of Fire does so pretty well, and even though the game doesn’t exactly impress us with its graphics or theme, it is an enjoyable slot experience thanks to the somewhat interesting core feature.
Flight of Fire’s gameplay loop is very much bound to the Connect & Collect feature, as there is very little else to really entice you with. For example, the regular paytable is pretty awful, so much so that even the Multiplier Wilds are usually not enough to really make them appealing, and even the smallest Cash Prize or Jackpot can easily outweigh a payline. This is a bit of a flaw, as it makes the spins waiting to trigger a feature not that fun, and can lead to burnout while sitting in the so-called waiting room, just hoping you hit on the next spin. However, when you do hit a Connect & Collect feature, it can be a pretty fun time, as many of the bonuses are quite exciting, such as the Respins, Mystery Jackpot Wheel, and even the random Prizes.
