Introduction to Bloody Mary: Pray for Prey
Bloody Mary: Pray for Prey is a casino slot from Peter & Sons, where we find ourselves hunting monsters as if we were Van Helsing himself. However, our favorite vampire slayer is sadly not around, and instead, we join a scantily clad, scythe-wielding nun with a certain interest in decapitating unholy beasts. While we may find devils, demons, werewolves, and cultists on the spins, they’re only the regular symbols, as the real meat comes from the Highlighted Positions and Special Symbols feature, which is the core mechanic of this game. These Special Symbols can each create up to 8 Wild Symbols on the same spin, each with its own Multipliers that can also grow, especially in the two Free Spins feature. So while it’s not the most complicated, it’s a pretty interesting and fun gameplay loop of slaying monsters and summoning Multiplier Wilds, which can keep you going until you hit the max win of 30,000X the bet.
Peter & Sons brings us to a haunted graveyard where evil stirs, creating a gameplay loop of summoning Wild Symbols with Multipliers for big wins in two different types of Free Spins features.

Theme, Gameplay, & Payouts
Bloody Mary: Pray for Prey is a video slot from Peter & Sons with 5 Reels, 5 Rows, and uses Connected Ways mechanics, offering 259 ways to win. You can choose between making a Min.bet of 0.1 and a Max.bet of 30. Bloody Mary: Pray for Prey comes with a higher-than-average RTP of 96.37%, a hit frequency of 31.17%, high volatility, and a great max win of 30,000X the bet. However, do note that the max win probability is 1 in 66,666,667 spins, and the game is available in multiple versions with lower RTPs of 94% and 91%.
As mentioned before, we find ourselves in a dark graveyard, where the playing grid is built into a large crypt. Next to the playing grid is our demon-slaying nun, who is more than excited to start swinging with her scythe. The graphics are what we would expect from Peter & Sons, with the clean, interesting style we’re used to from the studio, however, more so on the demon side than the nun. You can play the game on most notepads, mobiles, and desktops.
The lower-paying symbols are various runes, ranging from clovers, spades, diamonds, and hearts. Creating a win with 5 of the same symbols will pay out 1X the bet. The higher-paying symbols are various demons, including the cultist, imp, werewolf, and devil. Landing a win with 5 of the same symbols pays out 1.5X to 3X the bet. On top of this, we have Wilds, Scatters, Super Scatters, Special, and Super Special Symbols, but you can read more about these in the Feature section.

What features are available in the slot Bloody Mary: Pray for Prey?
The features are Wild Symbols, Highlighted Positions, Free Spins, Super Free Spins, Extra Spin, Ante Bet, and Feature Buy.

Wild Symbols
Wild Symbols help form winning combinations by substituting for all symbols, except Scatter, Super Scatter, Special, and Super Special Symbols.
Highlighted Positions
Whenever Special or Super Special Symbols land, they will highlight random positions on the reels, turning them into Wilds with Multipliers corresponding to the level of the highlighted position, ranging from 1, 2, or 3. The regular Special Symbols can create up to 3 Wilds, as well as turning it self into a Wild symbol, while the Special Symbol can create up to 8 Wilds. Whenever a Wild is subsequently created on the same highlighted position during the same spin, the level increases by +1 before being applied.
Free Spins
By landing 3 Scatter Symbols, you will be awarded the Free Spins feature with 7 spins, plus 1 additional spin per extra Scatter Symbol. During the bonus game, at the start of the first spin, a number of random positions are highlighted and assigned their initial levels. These highlighted positions and their levels persist throughout the entire bonus game and don’t reset between spins, and, on top of this, each time a Wild is created on an existing highlighted position, its level is increased by +1X.
Super Free Spins
By landing 3 or more Scatter Symbols, including at least 1 Super Scatter Symbol, you will be awarded the Super Free Spins with 7 spins, plus 1 additional spin per extra Scatter Symbol. The Super Free Spins play similarly to the regular Free Spins, except that the highlighted levels start at level 2 and double in value each time a Wild is created on the same highlighted position. You can also be awarded +1 spin during the bonus game by landing additional Super Scatter Symbols.
Extra Spin
At the end of a Free Spins or Super Free Spins feature, you may be offered the option to purchase an additional Extra Spin in the same bonus game at its current state. The price of an Extra Spin depends on the current potential of the feature, capping out at 1,000X the bet. You can purchase multiple Extra Spins, up until the total quantity of Free Spins has reached 50 spins.

Ante Bet
By turning on the Ante Bet, you increase your chances of triggering the Free Spins feature, but at the cost of increasing your current bet by 50%.
Feature Buy
Through the Feature Buy, you can instantly activate the bonus game for a price based on the current bet.
100X = Awards the Free Spins feature.
250X = Awards the Super Free Spins feature.
Final Thoughts on Bloody Mary: Pray for Prey
It seems that Peter & Sons thought their release, Bunny Heist, which came out in early 2026, was well-received enough for the studio to keep testing the waters with more mature themes and settings. While Bloody Mary: Pray for Prey is definitely not on the same level as the Playboy bunnies of Bunny Heist, there’s no denying that our scythe-wielding nun definitely stands out in Peter & Son’s portfolio of strange characters. However, we don’t think that this character takes away from the experience all too much, and we quite enjoy the theme, even if some parts feel a bit different from your typical Peter & Sons release.
Gameplay-wise, we have an extremely volatile package, however, this is mostly contained to the bonus games. While the main feature, the Highlighted Positions and triggering Special Symbols, are active in the base game, they’re kinda needed to break up the regular spins, as the paytable isn’t that great nor exciting, they are more there to help create the occasional wins. However, even so, the Special Symbols can feel a bit too rare at times. Luckily, they are a bit more common when it comes to the two Free Spins features and can easily spread Highlighted Positions over the entire playing grid with continuously stacking Multipliers, which are even more fun when taking into account the Super Versions of the two features.
So when the stars align, and you hit a couple of Special and Super Special Symbols, you could see some pretty great wins, however, as mentioned, the game is extremely volatile, meaning that on many spins, you might just end up empty-handed. This might also be why the Extra Spin Feature Buy option was added, giving players the chance to potentially get one more solid spin on a fully stacked board. But at the end of the day, we can still say that we thoroughly enjoyed Bloody Mary: Pray for Prey from its theme to its gameplay loop. Its volatile nature might be a bit too much for some players, but we can see certain high-risk, high-reward players absolutely fall in love with it, either for the gameplay or the demon-slaying nun.
Bloody Mary: Pray for Prey is a slot all about hunting demons and their ilk, summoning and spreading Wild Multipliers over the playing grid in the process to create big wins.
