Q&A - Lucy Luck and the Temple of Mysteries by Slotmill

In this exclusive interview with Timo Vainiomäki, Commercial Manager at Slotmill, we learn more about the captivating world of Lucy Luck and the Temple of Mysteries. This is not our first encounter with Lucy Luck – who we previously met in the game Lucy Luck and the Crimson Diamond. But this time, the adventure occurs in Nepal and the Himalayan mountains. This location is steeped in history and has rich local culture, providing a beautiful backdrop for Lucy's second adventure in this thrilling series.  So, let's prepare ourselves for another exhilarating ride with Lucy Luck!

Hello, and thank you for participating in this interview for your newly launched game, Lucy Luck and the Temple of Mysteries.

1. Describe Lucy Luck and the Temple of Mysteries in three words!

- Mysterious, Atmospheric, Exhilarating.

2. What inspired you to choose Nepal's majestic mountains as the new location for Lucy Luck, moving her from the dense Amazonian jungle?

- After Lucy Luck and the Crimson Diamond, we wanted the next adventure to take place in almost the opposite setting of the Amazonian jungle. Nepal and the Himalayan mountains offer a lot of history and local culture that, once put together, create a beautiful theme and artistic base for the perfect setting for the second installment in the Lucy Luck series. 

3. What can players expect when they visit this game?

- Lucy Luck and the Temple of Mysteries is a beautiful game that offers the players exciting gameplay within the scatter pays mechanic. The addition of mystery symbols whilst maybe familiar to most of the player base, adds a lot of excitement both in the base game and especially in the bonus rounds. The players can expect entertaining gameplay in a beautiful setting that will keep them on the edge of their seats! 

4. Are there any particular moments or experiences during the development of this game that stood out to you personally? 

- As a whole, this project was very exciting for the whole team working on it. From an artistic perspective, being able to continue to work with Lucy and bringing her into a new setting whilst building on her personality was very satisfying throughout the project. From a game design perspective, the most exciting part was also iterating on the scatter pays mechanic. Making the game different from Crimson Diamond with additional features whilst also not straying too far so the game is recognizable as a sequel. 

5. With the release of Lucy Luck and the Temple of Mysteries closely following the first installment, is a third installment in the series also on the horizon?

- Lucy Luck and the Crimson Diamond was a great success upon its release, and the game is still performing very well. Our expectation is that Temple of Mysteries will continue this trend or do even better! So we feel it is safe to say that the players have not seen the last of Lucy, and maybe the next adventure will be even more epic!
