Ultra Reels Fruteria, while maybe having a pretty sick title, isn’t a very interesting game, as there’s nothing about it that’s original, and it feels like a game we have played a hundred times before. Sad to say, that isn’t exactly an exaggeration, as even comparing the game to the previously mentioned Juicy Fruit Coins Hold & Win, released only a few months prior, shows a nearly identical game, bar the slight graphical changes. But this is kinda how the formula is nowadays, especially with many Fruit slots coming with Cash Collect and Hold & Win features, meaning many of them can be quite indistinguishable from each other, and in turn, meaning most of them will fade into obscurity.
So, what’s the problem with this gameplay loop? Well, it’s not that the spins or features are bad, just that they are very overused, especially in the Fruit genre. However, Ultra Reels Fruteria is definitely not the best example of these features, as, for one, the paytable is quite bad, both for its paying symbols and Cash Prizes. So, that means that the one redeeming quality is the Jackpots, which, even then, come with lower prizes than many of the game’s peers. Then, on top of this, have no other features outside of the Coin Collecting mechanic, bar the Wild Symbols, and you have a disappointing release with boring base game spins and a Respins bonus game that has the potential for volatile payouts, but, at the same time, feels like a worse version of those seen in other releases.
