Final Thoughts on The Gem Master
While we really enjoy The Gem Masters theme and setting, we have to start off by saying we feel like Betsoft dropped the ball on its actual visual quality, as the game’s graphics aren’t exactly the most impressive and make us feel like we’re playing an older game. Coupled with this is the fact that the game is on the simpler side, as many games of Betsoft’s “The” series are, and while they usually show promising themes and settings, they don’t always deliver on the rest of the package.
Gameplay-wise, as we’ve mentioned before, it’s all down to the bonus games, as the base game is sorely lacking in features, but at least has a solid paytable. But, even so, the bonus games, which are supposedly the stars of the show, aren’t really all that interesting, especially the Free Spins feature. The Respins bonus game at least has volatility backing it, and we can’t deny it has a high-risk, high-reward gameplay loop, thanks to the Multiplier Symbols. But, even then, it just isn’t enough to keep us engaged and wanting to come back for more, as they’re rather unoriginal and make us question why we should choose The Gem Master outside of other options, especially when it already feels outdated thanks to its simple loop and lacking visuals.
