Introduction to Sugar Kingdom Bonanza
Sugar Kingdom Bonanza is a casino slot from Iconic21 with a heavy candy theme. The sweets on the reels look pretty modern, but candy actually has a long history that dates back thousands of years. The earliest candies were made by ancient civilizations such as the Egyptians, who combined honey with fruits and nuts to create sweet treats. India and China also have a long history of sweet foods, with people making confections from sugarcane. It took much longer for candy to reach Europe, and it was considered a luxury for the wealthy when expensive sugar started to appear during the Middle Ages.
The game looks, at a first glance, pretty similar to other slots in the genre, with a cluster win mechanic and cascading wins. Let’s have a look at what this candy world can offer.

Theme, Gameplay, and Payouts
Sugar Kingdom Bonanza is a video slot from Iconic21 featuring 7 reels with 7 rows. There are no regular paylines; wins are instead made by landing 5 or more matching symbols in a cluster. The Min.bet is 0.1, and the Max.win is 10. The game’s default RTP is 95.78%, but you can also find a version of 93.83%. Sugar Kingdom Bonanza has high volatility and a max win of 25,000x the bet. The hit frequency is 21.1%.
The world of Sugar Kingdom Bonanza goes in blue and pink. Big lollipops stand like trees on the soft ground that seems to be filled with cotton candy. The semi-transparent reels stand in the middle of the screen in front of a giant castle. Below them are some buttons that look like a control system. In the upper left corner is the game’s logo, picturing a castle. To make a win, you need to land 5 or more matching symbols connected either horizontally or vertically in a cluster. The game is available on mobile phones, tablets, and desktop computers.
The lower-paying symbols in Sugar Kingdom Bonanza are blue, purple, and green gummy bears. They pay between 20x and 30x the bet for a win of 15 or more symbols. The higher-paying symbols are blue, red, orange, and pink candy pieces. They award between 40x and 150x the bet for wins containing at least 15 symbols. There’s no Wild Symbol, but a Scatter Symbol that can trigger the Free Spins.
Special Features & Slot Mechanics
What is the max win in the slot Sugar Kingdom Bonanza?
You can win up to 25,000x the bet.
What features are available in the slot Sugar Kingdom Bonanza?
The features are Cascading Wins, Multiplier Candy Wrapper, Regular Free Spins, Super Free Spins, and Feature Buy.

Cascading Wins
Winning symbols disappear after each win. When they are removed, new symbols fall into their place, giving you another chance to score winning combinations within the same spin. The positions where symbols were removed are marked with multipliers, and these increase the value of any future wins during that spin.
Multiplier Candy Wrapper
Each time a winning symbol is removed, a candy wrapper appears in that position. If another win happens on the same spot, a x2 multiplier is added to the wrapper. Every additional win on that position doubles the multiplier, up to a maximum of x1,024.
These multipliers apply to all wins that include the wrapped position. If more than one multiplier is part of the same win, their values are combined. All multiplier candy wrappers stay active throughout the entire cascade and reset once a base game spin ends. In the Free Spins, the multiplier doesn’t reset between spins.
Regular Free Spins
Landing 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 scatter symbols anywhere on the grid awards 10, 12, 15, 20, or 30 free spins. The multiplier candy wrappers remain active during the entire feature and can continue to increase to a maximum of x1,024. You can also retrigger the feature by landing at least 3 Scatter Symbols.
Super Free Spins
The Super Free Spins feature is only available via the Feature Buy option. It works the same way as regular free spins, except that every position is filled with x2 multiplier candy wrappers from the start.

Feature Buy
You can go straight to the Free Spins by paying 100x the bet for a spin that will trigger the Regular feature, or 500x the bet for a spin that will trigger the Super Free Spins.
Final Thoughts on Sugar Kingdom Bonanza
Iconic21 is a new developer in the slot world, and this is the second game we've tried from the developer. Viking Wild Feast set some expectations for the future, but playing Sugar Kingdom Bonanza feels like taking a big step back. Not because it’s a bad game per se, but because it’s almost identical to Pragmatic Play’s Sugar Rush 1000, released over two years ago. It’s one thing to re-skin your own product, and another one to entirely copy the theme and mechanics from another game studio.
If you ever played Sugar Rush 1000, you already know that a big aim of the game is to hit consecutive wins in cascades, since all winning positions receive a multiplier that doubles for every win, up to x1,024. You’ll also already know that the multipliers don’t reset between Free Spins, making the feature more exciting for every spin. All this is identical in both games. The symbols, with some cute candy bears, are also almost identical.
The only difference, gamewise, is that Iconic21 has added a Super Free Spins feature, available only through the Feature Buy option. The games also offer the same max win, but Sugar Kingdom Bonanza has a higher RTP, so we see no reason to spin this copy.
Sugar Kingdom Bonanza from Iconic21 would be an awesome slot if it had a breath of innovation. Unfortunately, it’s nothing but a copy-paste job of another game developer.
