Nudge N Win Gold is a rather uninspired and not-so-appealing slot game in a modern environment, but, looking at this release as a throwback to old classics, the pieces start to fall a bit more into place. While we may sound negative, we don’t actually hate the game, as behind the familiar presentation is a pretty solid, yet simple, gameplay loop. However, it’s worth noting that Push Gaming has taken quite a few pages from other releases, such as the previously mentioned Power Vault, which makes it feel more like a reskin or a lazy remake than a real attempt to deliver a proper modern classic slot experience.
When it comes to gameplay, we have a pretty standard Instant Prize and Collect format where the most interesting parts of the game are its Gold Rush bonus game for its potential wins, especially thanks to the Enhancer Reel, and the newly added Charging Jackpots mechanic. However, outside of the Charging Jackpots mechanics, which we enjoy for making missed hits still feel somewhat rewarding, we’ve seen this gameplay loop before, and while we think it’s solid in a vacuum, it doesn’t get any better on repeated releases. At the end of the day, Nudge N Win Gold’s familiarity and lack of interesting visuals combine to make for a pretty disappointing release that struggles to really hook us. But we believe that fans of Push Gaming’s previous old-school classic installments can still have quite a bit of fun with the occasional spins.
Nudge N Win Gold is a slot that we feel like we have played before, thanks to it taking the studio’s Instant Prize and Jackpot Collect formula and doing very little with it, only sprinkling in a few changes, such as the newly added Charging Jackpot mechanic.
