Final Thoughts on Le Football Fan
While there has been an influx of Smokey the Raccoon games over the last handful of years, some good and some not so good, Le Football Fan takes the most boring approach and is a lazy rerelease of the original Le Bandit game. Calling Hacksaw Gaming performative wouldn’t be out of line, as it only feels like they’re trying to cash in on the current football craze that is soon about to sweep the world over, as it does whenever the FIFA World Cup is held each 4 years. The recurring Le releases that we’ve had haven’t been all bad, and while we might soon be getting tired of Smokey, they usually bring something new to the table that makes them somewhat interesting, but, sadly, not this time around.
Hacksaw Gaming has utilized the Cascade mechanic to its fullest with the Le series, as seen with Cascade Layers, Sticky Win Re-drops, and our current mechanic, the Super Cascade, which is arguably one of the more fan-favorites. We enjoy the gameplay loop here, however, we are disappointed with the copy-paste move, which makes us question why anyone would want to check out Le Football Fan over the original Le Bandit, especially as this version has an even smaller max win than all other games in the series. But, even so, we can’t deny the fun that the Super Cascade and Win To Win combo brings, as it’s one of the more interesting Cash Collect mechanics, with some pretty volatile bonus games to boot.
