Introduction to Jaws of Justice

Jaws of Justice is a casino slot from Hacksaw Gaming that takes you on an action-packed slot adventure with robot animals, 80’s synthwave music, and, of course, lasers. We all love some not-so-serious movies in a while, and we think Hacksaw Gaming has had a few movie nights lately at their offices. As kids, many thought sharks were the coolest animals to exist, and some of those kids grew up to create movies like Sharknado and Avalanche Sharks, films that are pretty self-explanatory from their titles alone. But, we think the studio found a favorite with Sky Sharks, a movie about modified zombie sharks that can fly, and Jaws of Justice is basically that, except now mechanical and can fire lasers.

While this sounds crazy and wacky, Hacksaw Gaming definitely delivered, and the aforementioned lasers are the core mechanic of the game. The Laser Shark Symbols can only land on the bottom row of any reel and will fire a laser either straight up or diagonally, creating Wild Symbols with chances of Multipliers up to 200X. But, there’s also Force Fields surrounding the grid, letting the lasers bounce around to create even more Wilds and cover the screen with big wins. Added to this, we got 3 types of Bonus Games with progressively better bonuses than the last, to help you cash home the max win of 10,000X the bet.

Join the long fin of the law in Jaws of Justice, where lasers and bonus games will help you create big wins. If you’re interested in checking out the game, we recommend trying the demo first.

Theme, Gameplay & Payouts

Jaws of Justice is a video slot from Hacksaw Gaming with 5 Reels, 4 Rows, and 14 Paylines. You can choose between making a Min.bet of 0.1 and a Max.bet of 100. Jaws of Justice comes with an average RTP of 96.2% and with a medium/high volatility, which makes wins happen rather often with both small and big wins, with the chance of landing the max win of 10,000X the bet.

The game is set out in the wasteland on a foreign planet where mechanised sharks lay down the law. Bursting out of sand dunes, they land on the reels, shooting lasers and converting symbols to Wilds with Multipliers with ease. You can play the game on most notepads, mobiles, and desktops.

The lower-paying symbols are 10, J, Q, K, and A. Creating a win with 5 of the same symbols will pay out 2X the bet. The higher-paying symbols are various robot animals, ranging from the Rhino, Crocodile, Tiger, T-Rex, and Shark. Landing a win with 5 of the same symbols pays out 5X to 10X the bet. The Special Symbols are WildScatter, and the main star of the show, The Laser Shark Symbols, but more on that in the next section.

Wild Symbols

Wild Symbols help form winning combinations by being able to substitute for all symbols except Laser Shark and Scatter Symbols.

Laser Shark Symbols

Laser Shark Symbols can land on any position on the bottom row, and when landed, they will fire a laser in 1 of 3 directions, either straight up, or diagonally left or right. When a laser is fired, everything in its path will transform into a Wild Symbol, with the chances of revealing a Multiplier that ranges from 1X to 200X. If a laser hits a Wild, it will grant it a Multiplier, and if it already has a Multiplier, then it will be upgraded.

Force Fields

There are 3 Force Fields located on the left, top, and right edges of the playing grid. If any lasers hit a Force Field, it will bounce off and continue in another direction at the same angle.

Killer Cosmos Bonus Game

Triggered by landing 3 Scatter Symbols and awards 10 Free Spins. During the Killer Cosmos bonus game, there is an increased chance of landing Laser Sharks. You can retrigger the feature by landing 2 or 3 Scatter Symbols, awarding 2 or 4 spins, respectively.

Chompocalypse Bonus Game

Triggered by landing 4 Scatter Symbols and awards 10 Free Spins. The Chompocalypse bonus game has the same mechanics as the Killer Cosmos one, except with the added benefit of each Laser Shark firing lasers in two different directions on the same spin. You can retrigger the feature by landing 2 or 3 Scatter Symbols, awarding 2 or 4 spins, respectively.

Nuclear Nebula Bonus Game

Triggered by landing 5 Scatter Symbols, and awards 10 Free Spins with the added benefits of the Killer Cosmos and Chmpocalypse bonus games. In addition, at least 1 Laser Shark will land on every spin. There are no Scatter Symbols present in this bonus game, hence you cannot retrigger for any additional spins.

Final Thoughts on Jaws of Justice

Hacksaw Gaming is a top provider and one of our favorites, and recently, they’ve graced us with some really cool and interesting concepts that we’ve loved, as seen with games like Cash Crew 3 and Bash Bros. Jaws of Justice definitely makes that list as it's an incredibly fun, while a little bit stupid, idea turned into a great slot experience. It’s ’80s vibe, synthwave soundtrack, and sick mechanized animal designs just blend together into a game that we had a great time with, but is its gameplay good enough to warrant the game's praises? Well, let us move over to that section, and we can discuss it in deeper detail.

As usual, let us start with the game’s stats, and we got a pretty standard RTP of 96.2% and a good max win of 10,000X the bet. While the game doesn’t have many features, its main one, the Laser Shark Symbols, is quite potent, and with its many bonuses, it can help you line up some very impressive wins. The many paying symbols already have pretty good payouts, and with the addition of the many Wilds, not even counting the Multiplier Wilds that can go up to 200X, you can expect some good, consistent hits. The Laser Shark Symbols are pretty funny to see, and the added bonuses of Force Fields, which may not be that apparent and can sometimes be forgotten, can line up some big hits.

However, as this is a Hacksaw Gaming release, they of course have the 3, progressively more volatile, bonus games, which some players love, and others don’t, and we are a bit split down the middle, as while they’re really fun to land, and the feeling of hitting the Hidden Bonus Game is incredible exciting, the lower ones can feel a bit disheartening at some times, as they’re not always that great. In Jaws of Justice, the Killer Cosmos bonus game does increase the chance of landing Laser Shark Symbols, which is excellent and can lead to good wins, but also doesn’t feel much different from the base game, compared to the other two bonus games. But, this may just be a pet peeve among players, as there isn’t much else to complain about in this game, and if you’re interest has been piqued, then we highly recommend giving the demo a try.

Jaws of Justice is a slot with Laser Sharks, Multiplier Wilds, and 3 types of Bonus Games that will help you lay down the law and take home the big wins.
