The monsters look rather generic, and the cowboy heroine feels somewhat out of place with her golden glow and spotless look. The artwork quality is fine and does an okay job dressing the reels, but that's about it.
If the game's technical profile felt familiar, it's the correct impression, as Giga Zombies is a direct reskin of Lucky Apocalypse, a release from 2025 which also revolved around fighting the undead. It's definitely a strange move from Yggdrasil to clone a game and provide such minimal diversity between the themes, but perhaps the first one was a good performer, and the studio believed such a combination was a recipe for another success. Perhaps. Chasing deadlines and galloping competition might be another reason. Whatever the case, that's what this new horror instalment offers - scatter-pays, gigablox, and multipliers. The setup is quite robust, and its potential is clear from the start, but its recycled identity diminishes the attractiveness.
