Final Thoughts on Frenzy Clusters
Frenzy Clusters, while not exactly an interesting name, is a pretty cool attempt at the typical Cluster Pay and Cascades formula. While not always, BGaming has delivered solid themes and visuals in the occasional release, such as Gemhalla Extreme, Gates of Power, and now Frenzy Clusters. While we do wish, and maybe even think was planned in early development, that the Hero system actually had an impact, as currently it’s just another menu that you set and forget when you open up the game, and don’t really think about more, unless you’re a bit superstitious.
Gameplay-wise, the game is very simple, being all about its Cascades at its core, which is pretty typical for the genre. The Cascades then lead to the rest of the features, unlocking the playing grid, awarding special symbols, and being able to award Multipliers in the bonus game. While this gameplay loop is definitely not new, BGaming has made it smooth and work well, feeling rather consistent throughout game sessions, but also never having those peak hype moments because of its okay-ish paytable, and most Multipliers don’t hit crazy numbers. We enjoyed our time with Frenzy Clusters and think it’s a fun, solid experience, but we can see players wanting something more explosive than just long-running Cascades when it comes to wins.
Frenzy Clusters is a slot that delivers on a great theme and setting, and pairs it with a rather standard, but well-made, Cascade and Cluster Pay formula that maybe could’ve explored its Hero system more thoroughly.
