Just Slots came into the scene only a bit over a year ago and has released a handful of pretty cool games, but none have been any heavy hitter so far, and we can say that Fish Mafia fits comfortably in their growing portfolio. While coming with a pretty interesting and fun theme, which the studio has much of, it sadly does lack a bit of depth, which is ironic, coming from a game set in the ocean. From the instant we started the game, the noir soundtrack and interesting background hooked us, but its features were just not enough to fully reel us in, even though they can payout well, they’re just not the most fun you can have. But let us actually discuss it in more depth, and move over to the gameplay section.
As usual, we start with the stats, and Fish Mafia has some pretty good ones, with an RTP of 96.41%, a hit frequency of 22%, and a solid max win of 10,000X the bet. The game is very much built around its Expanding Multiplier Wild Symbols and Twin Reels, and the former is definitely the main star of the show, as it will both help you form wins, but also boost them with Multipliers of up to 100X. These Multipliers are enough to turn any small win of lower-paying symbols into being quite impactful, but sadly, they just don’t happen enough. On the other hand, we have the Twin Reels, and while cool in theory, they just don’t help enough, and sometimes are even quite forgettable, which is definitely not something we want to see in one of the main features.
