Introduction to Elemento Dragons

Elemento Dragons is a casino slot from Fantasma Games where you are taken to a fantasy land filled with powerful dragons. Long-time fans of Fantasma Games might get a bit of a nostalgic shock from reading the title, as this is somewhat of a sequel to Elemento, which was released in 2021. When Elemento first dropped, it brought with it a unique playing grid, split into the Element and Play Areas, and various Elemental Wilds that each can trigger their own elemental bonuses that will help keep the Avalanche streak going. However, something worth noting about Elemento Dragons is that it really isn’t all too different of a release from its prequel, coming with similar payouts and, for the most part, identical features. This makes Elemento Dragons feel more like a rerelease with a new theme and slightly updated features, than a real sequel to a game that we appreciated half a decade ago. But, even so, this might help make the Elemento games a bit more recognizable, as we do really enjoy their gameplay and unique playing grid.

Learn how to harness elemental bonuses from dragons, being able to fill the playing grid with Wilds through Fire, remove low-paying symbols through Earth, and more, all while keeping the Avalanches going. If you want to give the game a try, then don’t miss out on the Elemento Dragons demo.

Theme, Gameplay, & Payouts

Elemento Dragons is a video slot from Fantasma Games with 7 / 9 Reels, 7 / 9 Rows, and uses Cluster Win mechanics, needing a minimum of 5+ of the same symbols to form a win. You can choose between making a Min.bet of 0.2 and a Max.bet of 800. Elemento Dragons come with an average RTP of 96.13% and high volatility, but, at the time of writing, we do not know the current max win.

When you enter the game, you are welcomed to an open field, set in a mysterious land, and 4 elemental dragons that come down from the skies, riding the clouds. These dragons sit next to the playing grid, holding up the Elemental Counters that count each currently active Element Wild. You can play the game on most notepads, mobiles, and desktops.

The lower-paying symbols are various colored gems, ranging from blue, green, pink, and red. Creating a win with 15 of the same symbols will pay out 5X to 10X the bet. The higher-paying symbols are the different elemental dragons, ranging from the ice dragon, the earth dragon, the wind dragon, and the fire dragon. Landing a win with 15 of the same symbols pays out 25X to 100X the bet. The Special Symbols are the Wild, Element Wild, and Multiplier Symbols, but more on those in the Feature section.

What features are available in the slot Elemento Dragons?

The features are Element Area, Avalanche, Wild and Element Wild Symbols, Element Spawn, Multiplier Symbols, Free Spins, and Feature Buy.

Set in a cave of gold, the Free Spins feature comes with additional Multipliers
Free Spins

Element Area

The game is played on a 9x9 playing grid, with the other grid being the Element Area, where only Element Wild Symbols can show up, and the inner 7x7 being the Play Area, where standard Wilds, regular paying symbols, and Multiplier Symbols show up.

Avalanche

After landing a Cluster Win, the winning symbols will be removed from the playing grid, allowing new symbols to fall in from above with chances of creating new Cluster Wins. The Avalanche feature continues until no more wins are made, thus ending the spin.

Wild and Element Wild Symbols

There are 5 types of Wild Symbols, with 1 Standard and 4 Element versions, all of which can help form winning combinations by being able to substitute for other paying symbols. Any Element Wild Symbols that are part of a winning cluster will be Activated, increasing the corresponding Element Meter by +1, and will trigger its corresponding Bonus at the end of its spin.

Fire Element Wild Symbol = Activates Fire Wild bonus, adding between 4-12 wilds at random positions in the Play Area.

Water Element Wild Symbol = Activates Ice Strike bonus, selects random positions in the Play Area, and transforms all positions into the same symbol.

Earth Element Wild Symbol = Activates Leaf Burst bonus, selects one random type of lower-paying symbol, and removes all symbols of that type from the Play Area, can trigger up to 4 times.

Wind Element Wild Symbol = Activates Tornado bonus, selects one regular symbol at a random position, and removes all adjacent symbols that are different from the selected symbol.

Element Spawn

If a Cluster Win does not include any Element Wilds, it can randomly spawn an Element Wild Symbol at a random position in the Element Area. Only one is awarded per Avalanche, and resets between spins.

Multiplier Symbols

Multiplier Symbols land with a random value between 2X and 10X, and when the current spin is over, the values of all Multiplier Symbols are added together, which then multiplies the total win of the sequence. Multiplier Symbols can only land in the Play Area, and are unaffected by Cluster Wins and the various Element Wild Bonuses.

Free Spins

By having all four Element Wild Symbols activated at least once during a single base game spin, you will be awarded the Free Spins feature, starting with a baseline of 5 spins, plus the total number of active Element Wild Symbols. During the bonus game, there is a Total Win Multiplier that starts at 1X and increases by +1X after each Avalanche, and this Multiplier is added to all Cluster Wins.

There are 2 Feature Buy options

Feature Buy

Through the Feature Buy, you can instantly start a bonus for a price based on the current bet.

10X = Activates a random Wild Element Bonus.

80X = Triggers the Free Spins feature, starting with a Bonus Wheel to determine the number of spins.

Final Thoughts on Elemento Dragons

In a vacuum, Elemento Dragons is a pretty cool game with a bit of a unique setup, however, burdened with knowledge, we know that this is a glorified sequel to Elemento, a game released in 2021. We would have more than welcomed a proper sequel, keeping to the same Element Wild and playing grid formula, but still bringing with it enough changes to differentiate the two games. Currently, the best way to differentiate is that this game is themed around dragons, and while it does give the game a bit more character, we can still see the original foundation between the scaly cracks. We feel pretty torn on this game, as while we do appreciate the new makeover with visuals and effects, the gameplay sadly boils down to the same game we played back in 2021. We don’t want to sound like a broken record and keep complaining, however, Elemento was a fun game that tried something new, and we give them kudos for that. So seeing Elemento Dragons only rehashing the same idea rather than building on it feels a bit disingenuous. So with that said, let us move on, and we can discuss the features in a bit more detail.

As usual, we do want to start with the stats, however, at the time of writing, we only know that the game comes with an average RTP of 96.13%, as we sadly don’t know what the max win is currently. While the paytable is the same as the original release, which was a bit lacking, Elemento Dragons introduces a new Special Symbol, that being the Multiplier Symbols, with values ranging from 2X to 10X, that will be added to the current spin win. This was a very welcome addition, as it makes base-game wins just that bit more special and gives both short and long avalanches a chance at great payouts. It also couples well with the Element Wild Bonuses, and even though they haven’t been changed much, outside of the Ice Strike, which was previously called X-Flood, they’re great at keeping the spin going. The Multiplier Symbols can also show up in the Free Spins bonus game, which already comes with a Total Win Multiplier, doubling up on Multipliers for any wins made during that spin. All in all, the gameplay loop is very much the same and is still fun, maybe even a bit more so with the new Multiplier Symbols, but we’re still disappointed with the fact that this feels more like a rerelease than anything else.

Elemento Dragons is a slot that brings back the gameplay of Elemento from 2021 with a new theme and a few new scaly faces.
