Introduction to Corporation Wars

Corporation Wars is a casino slot from Kitsune Studios, inviting you to the business world filled with intense anticipation of stocks and never-ending competition for every piece of the market. Apparently, the game is supposed to be some kind of parody, mocking studios from the real world, per the pre-loading disclaimer. Characters depicting a fox, a tiger, a woman with a bloody cleaver, and a smart-dressed man are meant to represent said providers, although it's hard to decipher who Kitsune had in mind. Or it's all just an elaborate joke which we don't get, and none of it is true. In any case, the game serves a straightforward combination of features, involving multipliers, sticky Wilds, and Mystery symbols, which you can hit all at once in a single main game Corporation Spin or on every spin during the bonus round. For those who watch the stocks closely and cash out at the right time, a solid bonus of 12,500x the bet awaits.

Theme, Gameplay & Payouts

Corporation Wars is a video slot from Kitsune Studios with 5 reels, 4 rows, and 1,024 ways to win. You can choose your stake from a range of options, starting from a Min.bet of 0.1, which makes the game particularly affordable, up to a Max.bet of 75. The math profile offers a default RTP of 96.30%, which is in line with industry standards, although an alternative variant of 94.32% is also available, so make sure you check the version you're playing. You can expect big wins to be less frequent but more valuable on average due to high volatility, while the max win available on any single round is 12,500x the bet. The base game hit frequency comes at an average rate of 17.19%.

Corporation Wars opens up with a humorous, yet somewhat vague disclaimer about negative depictions of gaming studios. Next, you proceed to a conference room with two large screens tracking some unknown stocks in real time and a long table occupying most of the space in the middle. A fox in a suit sits in one of the chairs, watching you closely, waiting for positive results of your workday. The open laptop in front of you is where you'll need to show off your skills and drive the company's stock up. Overall, the game features a rather awkward visual style, mixing comic book vibes with plain rendering, almost like someone designed the scene in MS Paint. The setup is still fully responsive, allowing seamless transitions between PCs, smartphones, and tablets.

The paytable introduces two sets of distinct regular symbols, which award payouts when you land them on adjoining reels, starting from the leftmost one. Among the low-paying icons, there are round tokens with images of a warning sign, a dollar sign, a lightning bolt, a white tiger, and a fox, awarding from 1.x to 1.6x the bet for a 5-of-a-kind combo. The high-paying group contains characters like a man with a cigar, a woman with a cleaver, a white tiger, and a fox. Matching 5 premium symbols on a winning way awards prizes ranging from 2x to 7x the bet. In addition to regular icons, there are Wilds represented by a stack of banknotes, Corporation Trigger symbols in the form of a laptop, Mystery symbols appearing as a yellow folder, and FS Scatters depicted by yellow 'FS' letters.

Corporation Spin

Whenever you land the Corporation Trigger symbol or a combination that triggers any of the bonus modes, the Corporation Pre-Bonus phase begins. Special reels will spin, revealing modifier symbols with random values that will be collected in their respective meters.

Corporation Multiplier Increase = x1, x2, x3, x5, x10, or x25.

Additional Sticky Wild = +1, +2, or +3.

Additional Mystery Symbols = +1, +2, +3, +5, or +10.

FS Corporation Symbol = +1, +2, or +3 Free Spins (available only before the bonus round).

Next, the Corporation Spin follows, with all the accumulated enhancements awarded. Sticky Wilds are distributed randomly on the grid, Mystery symbols are added to the reels, and the active multiplier multiplies the total win from the round.

Bonus Games

Hitting 3, 4, or 5 FS Scatters in a single spin triggers 10 Free Spins with 5, 10, or 15 spins in the Corporation Pre-Bonus phase, respectively. The achieved multiplier will be active throughout, while Sticky Wilds and Mystery symbols will be awarded on every spin.

Final Thoughts on Corporation Wars

Kitsune undoubtedly had some sort of a clever idea for the theme of this production, but it failed to follow through with the execution. Everything about the setting is chaotic, mismatched, and outright tacky. Perhaps that was precisely the goal - to shock with incomprehensible visuals and an over-the-top soundtrack peppered with cringy voiceovers. Whatever the plan behind this creation, it turned out rather awkward instead of funny. We're also not sure which studios were supposed to be mocked by the symbols. Was it Shady Lady depicted as a woman with the cleaver? Foxium represented by the businessman fox? Red Tiger swapping its colour to white as camouflage? Again, the entire disclaimer might just as well be a goof to throw everyone off course. Outside of the suggested subtext, the game looks average at best, and its auditory profile makes you want to hit the mute button sooner rather than later.

Mechanically, there's not that much going on here on most spins, although the high concentration of features in individual rounds, be it in one-off events during the base game or throughout all bonus modes, can produce genuinely satisfying results. Bonus games build naturally on the core function, awarding gradually more opportunities to accumulate more sticky Wilds, Mystery symbols, and a higher multiplier to boost each spin and the total win from the entire session. If you prefer gameplay with plenty of potential packed into a single spin rather than features spread out over multiple separate triggers, this one ticks the box quite well.

Corporation Wars offers an awkward theme wrapped in average design combined with gameplay relying on a high concentration of features in individual spins.
