Introduction to Coin Win 2: Hold The Spin

Coin Win 2: Hold The Spin is a casino slot from Gamzix that takes the classic Fruit Slot experience and adds on some Coin features. As the title suggests, this is a sequel to the 2023 release, Coin Win: Hold The Spin, which we checked out. Later in 2024, we also saw the release of Sticky Coin: Hold The Spin, which introduced some changes, but nothing that significantly altered the gameplay core. The prequels were quite basic, being focused on their Respins bonus game with Royal Coins to help soak up Cash Coins and Jackpots, and to be honest, this sequel isn’t too much of a difference. From the theme alone, we know right out of the gate that this is a fruit slot, which are infamous for being quite simple, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as some games just hit the nail right on the head. Coin Win 2: Hold The Spin is definitely closer to that nail than its predecessors, as here in its Respins Bonus Game, it comes with 4 types of Royal Coins to really boost up your Cash Coin Collecting to help you on your hunt for the max win of 5,000X the bet.

Theme, Gameplay & Payouts

Coin Win 2: Hold The Spin is a video slot from Gamzix with 3 Reels, a 3-5-3 Row Setup, and 45 Paylines. You can choose between making a Min.bet of 0.1 and a Max.bet of 100. Coin Win 2: Hold The Spin comes with an average RTP of 96%, but take note that there are multiple versions sitting at lower RTPs at 95%, 94%, and 92%. The game is also played on medium volatility, with fewer big spikes in wins, and a bit more of a smooth gameplay loop, but still with the chance of hitting the max win of 5,000X the bet.

As we previously mentioned, this game is a fruit slot, and sometimes it seems like that’s all there needs to be for a theme, as there’s not much else going on here, except for the shiny symbols, a blue backdrop, and a bumpy soundtrack. You can play the game on most desktops, mobiles, and notepads.

The lower-paying symbols are cherries, lemons, oranges, and plums. Creating a win with 3 of the same symbols will pay out 0.5X to 1X the bet. The higher-paying symbols are grapes, watermelons, bells, and stars. Landing a win with 3 of the same symbols pays out 5X to 10X the bet. There are many Special Symbols in the form of Wild Symbols, Coin Symbols, Jackpot Symbols, and Royal Coin Symbols, all of which we go more in-depth about in the Feature Section.

During the bonus game, all standard paying symbols are removed, and you’ll only find Coin Symbols, Royal Coins, and Jackpot Coins on the playing grid. You play with 3 Respins, resetting for each new symbol that lands, and the feature ends when either the Spin counter hits 0 or all positions have been locked.

Final Thoughts on Coin Win 2: Hold The Spin

One thing we’ve learnt about Gamzix over the years is that they really love Coin Symbols in their games, and, while we also can appreciate some clever use of features and bonuses for big payouts, we can also get a bit tired of the same formula over and over again. Recently, we got another release from the studio with Only Coins Express, a game that features, well, only coins, and it sadly has the same flaws as Coin Win 2: Hold The Spin, and that’s a lacking theme, and a game that is so focused on the bonus game that the base game barely does much. However, Coin Win 2: Hold The Spin does at least add some more toys for us to play with, which does make it a bit more interesting than its prequels. With that said, let's take a look at these features and see how the gameplay flows.

Starting with the stats, we have a right on the dot average RTP of 96%, and a max win of 5,000X the bet, which is a bit surprising, as the original Coin Win: Hold The Spin actually had a 5,400X the bet. I guess this is balanced out by the fact that we now have 4 Royal Symbols at our disposal, compared to the original 1. These Royal Coins are basically the core of the entire game, and while Coin Symbols are where the wins are and how you trigger the bonus game, the Royal Coins are the real reason behind most substantial wins. From the Multipliers, the extra based value, and the Super Royal Coins, you can quickly stack up on payouts, but it does need a bit of luck, as you can only have 3 Royal Coins out during the same Respins bonus game. Outside of that, we also have the Jackpot Coins, but they can be quite rare and difficult to really lean on when doing anything outside of hunting down the max win. All in all, we didn’t hate the game, as there’s definitely something worth playing here; we’re just not so sure how it really stands out compared to other games, even though it is a clear step up from its previous iterations. If you want to try it out for yourself, then don’t miss out on the Coin Win 2: Hold The Spin demo.
