Introduction to Cash Storm: Hold & Win
Cash Storm: Hold & Win is a casino slot from Octoplay with a chance to collect a Jackpot from the first spin. Welcome to the Gambling Capital of the World, Las Vegas, as Octoplay adds another edition to its deep Hold & Win portfolio. With a cool city backdrop and smooth graphics, this game caught our attention right away. In terms of gameplay, it relies on familiar Hold & Win mechanics without offering any major surprises. However, the chance to collect a Jackpot in the Base Game and trigger the Jackpot Hold & Win feature, where Jackpot Prizes can reach up to 1,000x the bet, should appeal if you enjoy chasing potential big payouts.

Theme, Gameplay, & Payouts
Cash Storm: Hold & Win is a video slot by Octoplay that features 3 reels, 3 rows, and 5 paylines. You can select bet sizes ranging from 0.1 to 500, with a default RTP of 95.74%. This game has low volatility and a hit frequency of 12.4%, offering potential wins of up to 2,250X your bet. On average, it takes 176 spins to activate the bonus game.
The game’s design is based on an exclusive Las Vegas vibe, featuring poker chips, roulette wheels, and classic slot symbols. The backdrop shows a detailed view of “Sin City”, including its version of the Eiffel Tower and massive casinos. The 3x3 game grid is in the middle of the screen, with the flaming Cash and Jackpot Collector behind. If you want to boost the gaming experience for a cost, activate the Feature Buy button in the right corner. All other buttons, including the Spin and Bet Size, can be found below the reels. You can play Cash Storm: Hold & Win on all mobile devices, desktops, and notepads. You create a winning combination by landing 3 of the same symbol types on adjacent reels starting at the leftmost reel.
The lower-paying symbols are J, Q, K, and A. Landing 3 of the same symbol type pays between 1X and 3X. The higher-paying symbols are a cocktail, poker chips, a roulette wheel, and 777. Landing 3 of the same symbol type pays between 5X and 25X.
The game’s Wild Symbol has the text “Wild,” and creating a win with 3 Wild Symbols pays 50X the bet. The Coin Symbol is a golden coin with values ranging from 1X to 10X the bet. It can also land as one of the game’s Jackpots with values up to 500X the bet, which can be collected by the blue Jackpot Collector. The regular Coin Symbols can be collected by the flaming Cash Collector when it appears in the middle reel. There is no traditional Scatter Symbol in this game; instead, the Hold & Win can be triggered whenever a Coin or Cash Collector lands on each reel simultaneously. It can also be randomly triggered whenever a Coin Symbol lands in view during the Base Game. The same goes for the Jackpot Hold & Win, but instead of Coin Symbols, it can be triggered with Jackpot Symbols. Let’s find out what kind of features this game has to offer.
Special Features & Slot Mechanics

The max win is 2,250X the bet.
What features are available in the slot of Cash Storm: Hold & Win?
The features of this slot game are Wild Symbol, Cash Collect, Hold & Win, Jackpot Hold & Win, and Feature Buy.

Wild Symbol
The Wild Symbol substitutes all symbols except the Coin, Jackpot, Cash Collector, and Jackpot Collector Symbols and helps you create winning combinations. Creating a win with 3 Wild Symbols pays 50X the bet.
Cash Collect
This feature can trigger whenever Coin and Cash Collector Symbols land on the reels simultaneously. The Cash Collector can only land on the middle reel and will collect the values of all Coin Symbols in view.
The Coin Symbol can land with values of 1X, 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, 6X, 7X, 8X, or 10X the bet.
Whenever the Coin Symbol lands in view, it has a random chance of triggering the Hold & Win feature, which you can read more about later in the review. If the Hold & Win feature gets randomly triggered, symbols are added to the reels until there is at least one Coin Symbol on reels 1 and 3, and 1 Cash Collector on reel 2.
Jackpot Collect
This feature can trigger whenever Jackpot and Jackpot Collector Symbols land on the reels simultaneously. The Jackpot Collector can only land on the middle reel and will collect the values of all Jackpot Symbols in view.
The Jackpot Symbol can land as the Mini, Minor, Major, and Grand Jackpot, awarding 15X, 30X, 100X, or 500X the bet, respectively.
Whenever the Jackpot Symbol lands in view, it has a random chance of triggering the Jackpot Hold & Win feature, which you can read more about later in the review. If the Jackpot Hold & Win feature gets randomly triggered, symbols are added to the reels until there is at least one Jackpot Symbol on reels 1 and 3, and 1 Jackpot Collector on reel 2.
Hold & Win
This feature can be triggered by landing at least 1 Coin Symbol or Cash Collector on each reel in the same spin, awarding 3 respins. It can also be randomly triggered whenever a Coin Symbol lands during the Base Game.
Only blanks, Coin, and Cash Collector Symbols can land during the feature. Whenever a Cash Collector lands in view, they are locked in position for the duration of the feature, and the respins reset. Each Cash Collector in view will collect the values of all Coin Symbols that land on the reels. The Hold & Win ends when no more respins remain, and you are awarded the total value of all Cash Collect Symbols in view.
Jackpot Hold & Win
This feature can be triggered by landing at least 1 Jackpot Symbol or Jackpot Collector on each reel in the same spin, awarding 3 respins. It can also be randomly triggered whenever a Coin Symbol lands during the Base Game.

Final Thoughts on Cash Storm: Hold & Win
“Las Vegas is the only place I know where money really talks, it says, ‘Goodbye.’” This legendary quote from Frank Sinatra shows that few places in the world have a reputation quite like Las Vegas. We have seen many Las Vegas-themed slots, but this one stands out with a real image of the city, creating a memorable impression. However, the lounge music in the background does not impress, as we expected a more high-paced tune.
Looking at the gameplay, it doesn’t offer anything we haven’t seen from Octoplay before. We’ve seen the Hold & Win mechanics in games like 3 Mad Mummies: Hold & Win and Serpent Gold 2: Hold & Win. So what makes this game stand out? Here, you can collect both Coin and Jackpot Symbols right from the first spin. However, Octoplay has made sure you need a Cash Collector for Coin Symbols and a Jackpot Collector for Jackpot Symbols. It feels a bit unnecessary, since one Collector Symbol would’ve made the gameplay more favorable for players. The same goes for the Bonus Game, which is divided into one regular Hold & Win and a separate Jackpot Hold & Win, making it more complicated than it needs to be, given the familiar and basic mechanics of the game. While testing the game, we enjoyed the visuals, but the gameplay quickly became repetitive. The potential thrill of hitting a Jackpot, however, adds a refreshing element and could be appealing if you enjoy chasing big wins.
Overall, Cash Storm: Hold & Win delivers a familiar Hold & Win experience with a sharp Las Vegas theme. The chance of hitting a Jackpot from the first spin sets it apart from other editions in Octoplay’s Hold & Win series. However, we think the gameplay quickly becomes repetitive and somewhat overcomplicated, given its basic, recycled mechanics. Even though the gameplay doesn’t quite match the level of the visuals, it might appeal to players who enjoy chasing decent Jackpots.
Cash Storm: Hold & Win is a slot with a cool Las Vegas design, but the recycled mechanics and modest max win don’t match our expectations.
