The Dream Drop mechanic can be a bit divisive when it comes to players, as some see it as an unnecessary add-on to otherwise completely fine games, while others love it for being able to chase the same big jackpots across a multitude of games. This leaves many games, such as 9K Wild Yeti, in a bit of a weird spot, as this game was even released after the Dream Drop version, so we can’t exactly say which one is truly the original. However, without that taken into account, 9K Wild Yeti is a fun and engaging game that ticks a lot of boxes and feels like a proper sequel to the original Wild Yeti release from 2019, even if its gameplay has changed a bit over the years.
When it comes to its gameplay, 9K Wild Yeti is a pretty solid and interesting release in a vacuum, as we really enjoy its thematic features, aside from the newest addition. We’re talking about none other than the Big Prizes bonus, as it feels a bit out of place and almost as if 4ThePlayer wanted to repurpose their Dream Drop Jackpot wheel from the Dream Drop version. But we can’t say if that’s truly what happened, and even if it did, we don’t fully hate the bonus, as it is just a way to break up the monotony of regular spins and can award some pretty juicy wins. The actual gameplay loop, however, feels a bit more engaging thanks to the star of the show, the Yeti Rampage and its Multiplier Stacks. This feature becomes even better with the addition of the King Yeti Symbol, as it helps create wins or form even bigger ones by moving around the symbols during the Snowstorm. But, while we do enjoy its gameplay loop, we’ve seen similar things previously in the series, and 9K Wild Yeti doesn’t really build on it, instead shuffling things around for a slightly smoother experience from its 2025 predecessor. All in all, 9K Wild Yeti is a solid game, nothing more and nothing less, especially for those who felt a bit unsure over its Dream Drop version.
