Final Thoughts in 3 Rockin' Penguins
3 Rockin’ Penguins is a game that, at first glance, has a pretty good presentation in its theme and setting, as it is pretty unique. However, when looking a bit deeper into the game, it isn’t the most impressive, in either visuals or gameplay. Visually, we much prefer the aforementioned Punk Penguin release from Print Studios, and that was released a month prior, making AvatarUX look not so great in comparison. But we don’t want to fully knock it down, as compared to many other 3-Pot releases recently from the studio, 3 Rockin’ Penguins definitely stands out the most.
When it comes to gameplay, there sadly isn’t much to do outside of the bonus game, meaning that any spin in the base game is more or less a waiting room with a rather lackluster paytable. But, while a bit too one-dimensional, the bonus game isn’t the worst thing we’ve played, and at some points we even enjoyed it, especially as there’s at least one extra layer that gets added with the Booster bonus. However, we feel that having a randomly triggered bonus be the saving grace of a core feature is never a good sign. If you’re a fan of 3-Pot mechanics, this might just click for you, and the endless one-dimensional spins for Cash Prizes might be right up your alley, but we can also see how many players drop out as they get bored over longer sessions because of the lack of engaging features.
