Pragmatic Play is known for a lot of things, but we can’t deny that when we think of Eastern-themed releases, they are usually among the first studios we think of. There’s just something about these themes and settings that really pulls the studio in, and while we definitely don’t love all of them, there have been a few surprises over the years, such as Jade Legends. However, Triple Hop Pots is definitely not on the list of surprises, as while we enjoy its calm, relaxing setting and slightly different theme, it is a bit too simple for us.
When it comes to gameplay, the regular spins are just what you would expect, as there aren’t even any Wild Symbols to help create wins with, which is something that we kinda wish was here, at least just to have something else to look forward to hitting. Instead, we are stuck in the base game waiting room, hoping to hit a Scatter Symbol that will randomly trigger the one feature of the game. This just isn’t a very fun gameplay loop, but we can give it a small pass, as this game is mobile-first, meaning that they’re mostly based around regular spins with the occasional feature hit. However, what we won’t give it a pass on is its bonus game, as it is one of the least interesting Coin Collecting Free Spins features in recent times, and while we won’t hate on its payouts or Multipliers, its volatility just isn’t there to create exciting enough spins. Triple Hop Pots initially intrigued us with its good theme and setting, however, its gameplay loop is just too stale to really keep us engaged and wanting to spin for more.
