Thor's Rage 2 is a pretty solid game. Nothing is wrong with it, but after playing the demo, we still think that Red Tiger could have used a larger hammer. The game is very much like Thor's Rage, so that anyone who is familiar with the original will feel right at home almost straight away. The reels, the symbols, the chain reactions, the Keeper Wilds and all the other features are very much as they were before.
The biggest change is that the Free Spins feature is now available in two forms: Storm Free Spins, which are basically the same as those seen in Thor's Rage, and Thunder Free Spins, which is the new version. Thunder is probably the more interesting of the two, thanks to its progress bar and the ever-increasing Multipliers, which give the bonus a bit more character. It's also a positive development that the maximum win has been doubled to 20,000x the bet.
Yet if a game is called Thor's Rage 2, we must naturally expect something a bit more than just a fresh application of lightning. We wanted to see more new ideas, more surprises, and perhaps something that would make the sequel appear to be a real advancement rather than Thor simply coming back for another go with a slightly improved hammer.
