If you’re a sucker for the famous classic movie about Dorothy and the other characters in the land of Oz, you’re going to love this game. It doesn’t just have an old touch; it is just as retro – or outdated – as the movie. If there is a physical slot machine from that era, it probably looks something like this, although some of the graphics might be a little too advanced for 1939. It is cool that all the characters are represented, and it is a nice mix of features, although the free spins feature could definitely have offered more than 5 spins. Another thing that doesn’t look good is the annoyingly low RTP of 86.99%. While we’re mentioning negative sides, let’s not forget the 7 different scatter symbols. As we already said, it’s cool that so many characters from the movie are represented, but these symbols don’t pay out anything in the main game. So, most of the time, they’re just in the way, sabotaging the wins. Another not so brilliant detail is that the Wicked Witch is both the second best-paid symbol in the main game, and the evil character that ends the Wild Poppies feature. However, this remastered version has received only a few upgrades, with its design remaining the same as the original. We have to keep in mind that it is a game with medium volatility, and you will notice that most wins, even in the features, are pretty moderate. The average bonus payout is 11X the bet, which is a pretty low number compared to highly volatile games with more exciting features.
