Introduction to Temple of Thunder 3
Temple of Thunder 3 is a casino slot from Evoplay that brings back an old series in a pretty familiar setting. While it has been a few years since the last Temple of Thunder release, as the series started in 2022, with a sequel just a year after. But those games looked very different, and now three years later, we find ourselves at the same temple high up on Mount Olympus, left in ruin, with a brewing storm overhead. The home of the gods is no longer the same, but some gameplay features are. Back in 2022, the original release was a rather simple game, featuring only Wilds and Synced Reels, and it wasn’t until the sequel, Temple of Thunder 2, that the Hold & Win feature, which the series is kinda known for, was introduced. So, Evoplay took this game as a foundation and only slightly built upon those features, introducing new Booster Symbols for the Hold & Win feature to make it a bit more interesting to spin on, but, at the same time, removing Mystery Symbols and making the Free Spins feature just a bit less important. But, even so, this is a sequel with some minor upgrades, even with a slightly increased max win of 3,113X the bet.
Evoplay delivers on a sequel 3 years in the making with Temple of Thunder 3, building upon the original features and making them just a bit more enticing.

Theme, Gameplay, & Payouts
Temple of Thunder 3 is a video slot from Evoplay with 5 Reels, 3 Rows, and 20 Paylines. You can choose between making a Min.bet of 0.1 and a Max.bet of 75. Temple of Thunder 3 comes with a slightly higher-than-average RTP of 96.19%, a hit frequency of 29%, high volatility, and a rather low max win of 3,113X the bet.
As previously mentioned, the lush Mount Olympus with various gods that was the setting of the previous games is no longer the same, as now, Mount Olympus has fallen into ruin, with only one man standing, an enraged Zeus, the god of gods. While the game doesn’t really touch on this subject any more than visuals, it’s a pretty fun change coming from the prequels to this game. You can play the game on most desktops, mobiles, and notepads.
The lower-paying symbols are various colored gems, including teal, green, purple, and red. Creating a win with 5 of the same symbols will pay out 1.2X the bet. The higher-paying symbols are a goblet, a lyre, a chalice of grapes, a crown, and Zeus. Landing a win with 5 of the same symbols pays out 2X to 10X the bet. There are also quite a few Special Symbols, with Wilds, Scatters, Bonus Cash and Jackpots, as well as various Booster Symbols that can appear, but more on these in the next section.

Final Thoughts on Temple of Thunder 3
Temple of Thunder 3 is an interesting sequel, as it doesn’t really do much new, especially compared to the leap from the original Temple of Thunder to its sequel, Temple of Thunder 2. However, Evoplay still delivers on a pretty good product that feels like a proper upgrade to its predecessor. Visually, as mentioned earlier, we really enjoy the new setting, showing off a stormy, ruined Mount Olympus compared to the lush setting in the last game, which might also have foreshadowed Zeus wrath. However, even so, Temple of Thunder 3 is no masterclass in graphics or setting, as its theme is pretty standard in the industry.
When it comes to gameplay, we sadly lost Mystery Symbols, which made both the base game and the Free Spins feature feel a bit less exciting and complex. They’re already not in the greatest situation, as sometimes they can be plain boring, and we’re actually a bit surprised with the way Evoplay decided to go about making them worse. With the paytable being so weak and the Free Spins feature not bringing any extra bonuses with it, the entire game feels like we’re just waiting to trigger the Hold & Win bonus game, which we know doesn’t jive very well with many players, us included. But when it actually triggers, the new Jackpot and Booster Symbols do make the Respins more engaging and interesting; however, we’re just not so sure it was worth the trade-off. All in all, Temple of Thunder 3 does a lot of things right in terms of being a sequel, but focuses just a tad too much on its Hold & Win bonus, leaving the rest of the game rather plain and uninspired.
Temple of Thunder 3 is a slot that brings an old series back to life with new bonuses to its beloved Hold & Win bonus game, but feels lacking in the spins outside of said feature.
