Octoplay presents another chance to hop on their train series, this time with only minor changes to both design and gameplay. This is hardly the first time we received a train ticket from the studio, reminding you of games like Cash Link Express: Hold & Win. Although the train theme might suit some enthusiasts, for us it feels like we’ve seen it all before, with nothing surprising to capture our interest.
So what makes this game stand out? As we mentioned in the Introduction, the studio has kept the game core intact, but added a Diamond Booster that can be increased by Wild Symbols during the Base Game and applied as a multiplier during the Bonus Games. This feature boosts the max win to 4,300X the bet, making it a potentially more lucrative edition than its predecessor. Although we had some luck thanks to the Diamond Booster, it does not change our overall impression of the game. The added feature brings some extra excitement to the Base Game and gives the Bonus Games more potential, but the gameplay still feels very familiar.
Overall, the Diamond Booster is a welcome addition to the recycled slot experience, but we need more innovation for it to earn a higher score. It might appeal if you already enjoy Octoplay’s train series, but if you’re looking for something new and exciting, it’s not enough to board this particular train.
