Introduction to Sunken City Riches
Sunken City Riches is a casino slot from Stakelogic, taking us on an adventure through the jungle in search of forgotten treasures. You and your fellow treasure hunter, the monkey, have found a lost city, hidden underneath the water for centuries, and while it’s no Atlantis, as we’ve already been there in Stakelogics 2021 release, Atlantis Gold, this strange city still has some respectable wins. This sunken city is then our setting, with it as a backdrop for the playing grid, and it is quite a looker, with various vibrant plants, butterflies, colorful gems, and streaks of sunshine lighting up the ancient city. When it comes to gameplay, it’s all about Treasure Maps, more specifically, the progressive Treasure Map Meter, which will unlock and award various random bonuses, as well as a Mystery Pick bonus game. These random bonuses are your most common way to hit consistently solid wins, but the occasional fully stacked Mystery Pick is definitely the more volatile. On top of this is a simple Free Spins feature that guarantees bonuses on each spin, all of which can help you reach the max win of 15,000X the bet.
Sunken City Riches is a game packed with randomly triggered bonuses, but only after unlocking them, giving you something to look forward to as you progressively fill the Treasure Map Meters.

Theme, Gameplay, & Payouts
Sunken City Riches is a video slot from Stakelogic with 5 Reels, 4 Rows, and 1,024 to 7,776 ways to win. You can choose between making a Min.bet of 0.2 and a Max.bet of 100. Sunken City Riches comes with an average RTP of 96.01%, medium volatility, and a good max win of 15,000X the bet.
As mentioned and hinted at in the title, Sunken City Riches is set in a sunken city, with the playing grid built into the entrance, which is made out of stone pillars and ancient bronze gears. The game has a strange vibe to it, from its strange plants, powerful crystals, and ancient technology. You can play the game on most notepads, desktops, and mobiles.
The lower-paying symbols are 10, J, Q, K, and A. Creating a win with 5 of the same symbols will pay out 0.4X to 0.5X the bet. The higher-paying symbols are a trident, a compass, a clam with a pearl, and a diver’s helmet. Landing a win with 5 of the same symbols pays out 1X to 5X the bet. Then we have the Special Symbols, which include Wilds, various types of Treasure Map Scatter Symbols, regular Scatter Symbols, and Multiplier Wilds, but more on these in the Feature section.
Special Features & Mechanics
What is the max win in the slot Sunken City Riches?
You can win up to 15,000X the bet.
What features are available in the slot Sunken City Riches?
The features are Wild Symbols, Treasure Map Meter, Gem Meter, Free Spins, Ante Bet (Super Stake), and Feature Buy.

Wild Symbols
Wild Symbols can help form winning combinations by being able to substitute for all regular paying symbols. Wilds can only appear on reels 2-5.
Treasure Map Meter
The Treasure Map Meter sits above the playing grid and can only be filled with Treasure Map Scatter Symbols. Every 4th collected Treasure Map unlocks and triggers a new random bonus feature, and they are as follows:
Payway Maker = When triggered, a random symbol from the first reel is chosen and then copied onto the rest of the reels to form a win.
Symbols Upgrade = When triggered, a random paying symbol is upgraded to the highest paying symbol.
Add Wild Multipliers = When triggered, adds 1-3 Wilds with random Multiplier values ranging from 1X to 5X.
Split Symbols = When triggered, 1-10 symbols are chosen at random and will be split into two parts.
Once a feature is unlocked, it will trigger instantly. After the triggering spin, the feature can be randomly triggered on any following spin. After the Treasure Map Meter is full, it will reset while keeping the random features unlocked for future use. The Treasure Map Meter will be fully reset if the bet is changed.
Gem Meter
Each Treasure Map Scatter Symbol comes with a random Cash Value ranging from 1X to 1,000X, depending on the color of the symbol. Each collected will go into the Gem Meter, and when it is full, alongside maxing out the Treasure Map Meter, a Mystery Pick Bonus Game is played. During the bonus game, all collected Cash Values will be spread over the playing grid, allowing you to pick various prizes until you reach the Collect Symbol, instantly ending the bonus game with the collected cash prizes.
Free Spins
By landing 3, 4, or 5 Scatter Symbols, you will be awarded the Free Spins feature with 8, 10, or 12 spins. During the bonus game, at least one random Treasure Map Meter feature is guaranteed to trigger on every spin. The bonus game can also be retriggered by landing 3, 4, or 5 Scatter Symbols, awarding an additional 3, 4, or 5 spins.

Ante Bet (Super Stake)
By turning on the Ante Bet, you increase your chances of triggering the Free Spins feature by adding more Scatter Symbols on the reels, but at the cost of increasing your current bet by 50%.
Feature Buy
Through the Feature Buy, you can instantly trigger the bonus game for a price based on the current bet.
100X = Awards the Free Spins feature.
Final Thoughts on Sunken City Riches
Sunken City Riches is definitely inspired by the Atlantis theme, but it at least tries to distance itself from an overused setting, which we actually appreciate. However, even with its adventuring monkey, it’s not all that interesting from a visual or thematic point of view, even though we do like its nice-looking backdrop. But what keeps us engaged with the game is its many features and gameplay, as while it’s more focused on regular paylines, there are many features that can break the monotony.
The gameplay loop is relatively simple when you break it down, as it’s all about landing Treasure Map Symbols to both fill up the Treasure Map and Gem Meter to unlock various bonuses and end it on a big bang with the Mystery Pick bonus game. But, while simple in theory, it can feel a bit disorganized at times when the bonuses trigger randomly on any spin. At the same time, they don’t feel as impactful as we wish they could have been. As an example, hitting a Payway Maker bonus that gives you the lowest payout of 0.4X the bet isn’t very exciting and can be easily missed. In these cases, the bonuses aren’t very fun, but, at the same time, we can’t deny that they can be quite volatile, especially when guaranteed on each spin of the Free Spins bonus game. But, even then, at times we feel like we are mostly spinning to fill out the Gem Meter, as we vastly prefer the volatility and payouts that the Gem Mystery Pick feature offers. All in all, Sunken City Riches isn’t a bad game, but it can feel like its main draw, its unlockable bonuses, aren’t the best part of the game, and instead, we sit in a waiting room to trigger the more fun Mystery Pick bonus game.
Sunken City Riches is a slot where progressive features and bonus games are the key to unlocking hidden treasures, but its many randomly triggered features can feel a bit too low-stakes.
