Even though we’ve seen this theme countless times, it works with the Merge Up mechanic, where candies get sweeter for each merge up.
So what makes this game stand out? As mentioned in the Introduction, it follows the same gameplay structure as Merge Up 2, but with better design and softer graphics. Regarding the gameplay, it’s business as usual, except for the improved Feature Buy options, which should appeal if you want to boost the experience for a cost. Even though we wanted the studio to elevate the Merge Up mechanic to the next level, it’s still entertaining and has good win potential. While testing the game, we enjoyed the Cell Multipliers during both the Base and Bonus Game, which can grow to 128X, making the max win of 10,000X the bet believable, even though it’s highly unlikely.
Overall, this release follows the same structure as Merge Up 2, offering identical gameplay besides a boosted Feature Buy. However, the studio has turned down the RTP from 98% to 97%, which is still a great number but weaker. Lastly, even though we appreciated the refined design and improved Feature Buy, the gameplay is too familiar to its predecessor to score big.
