Reef Run Slot Review

The release of Reef Run by Yggdrasil Gaming was definitely a good addition to slot games. The underwater theme combined with the cartoon-like design was a great way to make the game more fun to play. This is a 5 reel slot, with 3 rows and 20 active paylines. Players are not just going to be impressed by the appearance of the game, but the features that come with it as well. It is definitely a game to consider.

Swim with the Fish and Explore the Ocean

The underwater world is something that everyone loves. The way nature has built its ways, the creatures swimming around the water, the seaweed and the corals all create the most beautiful pictures ever seen. The providers of the game thought to include just about everything in the design of this game adding their own spin to everything and making the game unique.

In the background is the sea with everything that lives in it. The setting is a bit darker since it is the deep waters we are talking about. There are starfish, sea dams, plankton, and corals resting on the surface of stones.  The player is looking through a cave straight at an underwater kingdom with slides and towers made for all the cute sea creatures there.

Reef Run Slot Gameplay

The soundtrack is very cheerful to fit the design. There are also sound effects of underwater bubbles made by the salty sea that contribute to the theme as well. The game also has a few interesting symbols dancing all over the reels. There are no card symbols or numbers present in the game. Instead, the symbols include different sea creatures like crabs, sea horses, sea snails, lobsters, and octopuses. The game does not feature a wild symbol and the scatter symbol comes in the form of a green pufferfish.

This is a low to medium volatility game which means that the payouts might not be so frequent. However, that does not mean that they are not going to be good ones. Players have the chance to win up to 1,000x the bet in a single spin. The minimum a player can bet is 0,20 and the maximum is 40 coins per spin. The game has a reasonably set 96,4% RTP.

Let the Pufferfish generously multiply your Wins

The features of this game are just as interesting as the design of it. As before mentioned, there are no wild symbols featured in the game and not that they are needed. The main feature of the game is the Free Spins mode that is activated when the player lands 2, 3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols anywhere on the reels. The player then gets 2, 10, 20 or 60 free spins depending on the number of triggering symbols.

Additional spins can be won during the round by landing at least 2 scatter symbols on the reels. What is great about the feature is that every time a winning combination occurs, the Level Up Multiplier feature gets activated and the fish symbol that was part of the winning combo awards a multiplier on the next win. The multipliers increase on every win starting at x1, going on to x5, then x10, and lastly x20 which is the biggest multiplier in the game.

The game also has a Reef Run feature which awards the player between 400 and 25,000 coins. The catch is that your fish symbol has to collect the most coins by the end of the round in order to get the prize. It is a totally random feature, but one never knows, it just might be your fish that lands the win.

Get Ready to Get Your Feet Wet

The ocean theme is a common one in the industry, but when it comes to this game, it definitely has a unique style and interesting features as well. There is nothing not to like about the cartoonish sea creatures and their wonderland. The providers managed to make a game that is going to have something for everyone in it. It is worth trying out.
