Final Thoughts on Ivy
Ivy is an interesting and visually appealing slot experience that has a lot of beautiful points about it. Wicked Games is quite a new studio, and has delivered on quite a handful of impressive games so far, Ivy being one of them. From its theme, albeit based on a very old comic character that has been present since 1866, to its vibrant colors, there’s just something that clicks well with the entire game. However, we should all know by now that looks aren’t everything, and while Ivy has some great points, it also has a few lacking ones when it comes to gameplay. So, with that said, let us move over to the gameplay section and discuss it in more detail.
But before that, let us go over the stats, and we have a very average RTP of 96.1%, but a solid max win of 10,000X the bet. The game comes through with a relatively solid base game, sporting Creeping Wilds to make more hits, as the normal paying symbols are actually quite good, and then on top of that, we have the studio's own Wicked Spin Symbol for a little prize on top of any losses. However, then we find ourselves with the bonus games, and for being called Free Spins and Super Free Spins, they feel pretty lacking. Starting with the standard one, there isn’t anything special except for the fact that you get literally free spins, but at least you can get quite a lot of them. Then we have the Super Free Spins, which either trigger directly from the base game or from the standard Free Spins. Here we are at the same conundrum, as the Free Spins don’t offer much except for a Multiplier that maxes out at 4X, but at least we can get a lot of spins during it. The Multiplier is probably our main issue, as it’s quite low compared to what other bonuses we’ve seen over the years, as sometimes you’ll find games with near infinite Multipliers, or at least until you hit the max win. We have to mention then again that the relatively low Multiplier does balance out with the pretty okay paytables, but it's still a point we felt like we wanted to make note of.
