Final Thoughts on Golden Empire 1000
While the Golden Empire series has been a bit of a coin toss over the years, TaDa Gaming seems to have found a pretty good balance for it, keeping its identity while at the same time making a somewhat interesting game. Visually, while still using some of its old graphics, such as symbols, making it look older than it actually is, the game doesn’t look that bad, and could probably fly under the radar, but it is something we’re a bit disappointed with. We wish we had seen some more work on the visuals, as that could have properly sealed the fact that it is a good sequel to an otherwise lacking series.
When it comes to gameplay, in our opinion, it’s a big step up from its predecessors, but that’s not to say that Golden Empire 1000 is a great game, but a good enough one. Cascades and Multiplier Symbols are often seen together, and here they’re the main selling point, taking a page out of Pragmatic Play’s Gate of Olympus series, even with the 1000 in the title. The game plays just as you would expect, and does so well, but also feels quite forgettable, leaving us with a solid sequel, but a rather unoriginal game. We enjoyed our time and can praise its good points, but, at the end of the day, Golden Empire 1000 just isn’t a good enough game to make us feel like coming back anytime soon.
