Introduction to Give Me Gold & Explode Power Combo

Give Me Gold & Explode Power Combo is a casino slot from All For One Studios, where we join our favorite crazy gold digger for some explosive spins. This old and experienced miner could be seen as something of a mentor, as he has been present in the Give Me Gold series for years and, even before that, was the star of the Gold Collector series. Nowadays, the Give Me Gold series is mostly known for its titular features, combining all of All For One Studios and Games Global’s favorite titular mechanics, as seen in games like Give Me Gold: Rising Rewards and its sequel Give Me Gold: Rising Rewards King Millions. In this release, it is all about the Power Combo, as its 3 Dynamite Bonuses are present in both the mini Power Spins and Free Spins feature, acting as a 3-Pot mechanic. Sprinkled on top is a progressive Fortune Wheel with a few additional prizes and Jackpots. The game is rather simple, just with a few moving cogs that may need to be kept track of, most importantly, the 3 Power Combo Dynamite Bonus Boxes. But even so, Give Me Gold & Explode Power Combo is a straightforward and rather okay slot experience thanks to these said features and its max win of 14,750X the bet.

All For One Studios delivers on another release in the Give Me Gold series, this time with the titular Power Combo mechanic as a core piece of the gameplay loop.

Theme, Gameplay, & Payouts

Give Me Gold & Explode Power Combo is a video slot from All For One Studios with 5 Reels, 4 Rows, and 40 / 60 Paylines. You can choose between making a Min.bet of 0.2 and a Max.bet of 20. Give Me Gold & Explode Power Combo comes with a slightly higher-than-average RTP of 96.2%, a hit frequency of 28.22%, high volatility, and an okay max win of 14,750X the bet.

Just like its predecessors, Give Me Gold & Explode Power Combo is set in the same tunnel, deep underground, in search of gold. However, the playing grid now looks a bit different, instead having boxes of colored dynamite, a fortune wheel, and Jackpots spread across the screen. You can play the game on most notepads, mobiles, and desktops.

The lower-paying symbols are 9, 10, J, Q, K, and A. Creating a win with 5 of the same symbols will pay out 0.7X to 0.8X the bet. The higher-paying symbols include various mining equipment, such as a shovel, a pickaxe, a lantern, a tankard, and a mining hat. Landing a win with 5 of the same symbols pays out 2.5X to 5X the bet. We also have quite a few Special Symbols, including Wilds, Golden Nuggets, Gems, Scatters, and +1s, which we will go over in the next Section.

Wild Symbols

Wild Symbols help form winning combinations by being able to substitute for all symbols except Special Symbols such as Scatters, +1s, Gem, and Gold Nugget Symbols.

Power Spin

Randomly, on any base game spin, the Power Spin feature may trigger, turning said spin into a Power Spin with 1 of 3 bonuses, adding either Sticky Wilds, Jackpot Gems with Cash Prizes of 1X-10X, or a 2x2 Multiplier Zone.

Fortune Wheel

During the base game, landing Gold Nugget Symbols will be collected in the container next to the playing grid. After landing 5 of said symbols, you will trigger the Fortune Wheel. A spin on the Fortune Wheel will award either a Jackpot, Cash Prize, Free Spins Trigger, or an upgrade to the Dynamite Power Bonus Boxes.

Powered Free Spins

In the base game, there are three types of differently colored dynamite boxes, each with its own Power Combo Bonus, which can be applied to both the Power Spins and Powered Free Spins. During the base game, landing either one or more Dynamite Scatter Symbols may trigger the Free Spins feature with 5 spins and the corresponding Power Bonus. But, even if it doesn’t trigger, landing Blue or Red Dynamite Symbols may upgrade said power, either increasing the amount of Sticky Wilds or the starter Multiplier Value. The Power Dynamite Bonuses are as follows:

Blue Wild Power = Awards the Sticky Wild Power, adding an equal amount of Sticky Wilds to random positions on the playing grid as the number of the Bonus.

Green Jackpot Power = Awards Gem Jackpot Symbols, which can only appear in the Free Spins. Each Jackpot has a distinct color and a respective colored Gem Symbol. Collecting 4-5 of the same colored Gem Symbol will award the corresponding Jackpot Prize. The Jackpot Values are Mini (10X), Minor (20X), Major (250X), and Grand (10,000X).

Red Multiplier Power = Awards the Multiplier Zone, starting at 1x3 and growing with each spin. The Multiplier Zone can be upgraded to a max of 10X in the base game, and up to 25X in the Free Spins feature by landing Red Dynamite Scatter Symbols.

You can trigger the feature with multiple Scatters at the same time, starting the Free Spins feature with multiple bonuses active. During the Free Spins, there are also +1 Symbols, which add +1 spin, or, if the Red Multiplier Power is active, it can land with a Dynamite, growing the Multiplier Power when it lands.

When triggered, the Fortune Wheel grows in size, sending a spin for guaranteed prizes

Upsizer

The Upsizer mechanic offers a Feature Upgrade when the Free Spins feature is triggered. The feature can be used to purchase enhancements for the triggered feature, such as additional Sticky Wilds, higher Multipliers, or Access to the higher Jackpot Levels. The available options can be purchased at the price displayed in the game, which may be dynamic depending on the feature.

Ante Bet (Boost Feature)

By turning on the Ante Bet, you increase your chances of triggering the Free Spins feature, but at a cost of increasing your current bet by 20%.

Final Thoughts on Give Me Gold & Explode Power Combo

All For One Studios is a bit of a strange one, as only a few years ago we saw the studio drop interesting and fun releases such as Geese With Attitude, but nowadays most of its portfolio is filled with titular features such as Thunder Riches, King Millions, Coin Collect, Rising Rewards, and more. The Give Me Gold series is a perfect example of this, as it started out as a rather casual, gold-mining-themed release with its original Gold Collector games, and was later expanded into a multi-series, each with its own titular feature. That sadly means that outside of its features, Give Me Gold & Explode Power Combo, and to an extent, its entire series, is more or less the same basis, reusing visuals and graphics to more easily pump out new releases with beloved features to try and capture as big an audience as possible. While we could say that this does feel a bit like a quantity of quality series, especially in its lack of creativity when it comes to its visuals and setting, we can’t deny that this game’s own quirks aren’t all too bad.

When it comes to gameplay, Give Me Gold & Explode Power Combo, while playing differently from its peers, isn’t the most original release, as most Power Combo releases, or 3-Pot if you would like to call it that, usually play quite similarly. In this game, we have the Wild, Jackpot, and Multiplier Powers to play around with, and they do a pretty good job at making both the Free Spins and Power Spins feel somewhat exciting, even if some bonuses can be more fun than others. But, even so, we felt that their wins weren’t always the most exhilarating, as the rather weak paytable definitely needs the Multiplier Bonus to really make paylines feel worth it, and if you’re hunting the max win, the Grand Jackpot is your only ticket. At least the game also comes with a Fortune Wheel, and while it may be a bit disconnected from the rest of the game, it has the potential for some pretty sizeable payouts and Bonus Upgrades. All in all, Give Me Gold & Explode Power Combo, while being a bit disappointing in its presentation and creativity, does offer some pretty solid features and a fun gameplay loop, but that is if you’re a fan of Power Combo or 3 Pot mechanics.

Give Me Gold & Explode Power Combo is another release in the Give Me Gold series, now with new features, a new playing grid, and gameplay loop centered around its 3 Dynamite Power Bonus Boxes and bonus games.
