Ghostfather - Awakened Slot Conclusion

When we first saw the original Ghostfather game, we applauded it for its quirky setting and fun theme, which was highlighted with Peter & Sons' familiar and weird graphics style. The story of Igor Vasilevich, the haunted mansion, and that of his many relatives made for a memorable game. While it didn’t blow our socks off, it definitely did leave an impression on quite a few players, as its cool visuals and volatile gameplay made it a great slot experience with many fun spins to be had. Now with the sequel, there is no massive visual overhaul or change with the theme; it's just more of what we had before. However, sadly, that can’t be said for the gameplay portion, as it does kind of remain the same as its predecessor.

So, onto the gameplay, starting with the stats, which aren’t actually a big difference from the prequel, as they have almost the same RTP of 96.38%, a hit frequency of 21.63%, and a max win of 10,000X the bet. The same can be said for the features, as there aren’t any significant differences from the original game, with Igor still acting as a Wild Symbol that can collect Cash Values; however, with the addition of the mad scientist Von Wobble, who shows up in the new Free Spin variations. These new variations are the most significant change in the game, and while they are very appreciated as they add a new layer of volatility, they don’t change the core issue we had with the prequel. That being, there wasn’t much to do in the base game, and all the fun features were hidden away in the bonus games. From features such as the simple Cash Collect, Ghost Rain, or even the Boosters, if you had never entered the bonus game, you would never see them. Now, you could activate the Golden Bet if you are interested in seeing Igor more often, as then he could show up in the base game, but that is for the price of increasing your current bet by 50%. We definitely welcome these new additions, but we can’t say that we wish we saw something that made the base game a bit more interesting.
