Introduction to Funky Fortunez
Funky Fortunez is a casino slot from Pocket Games Soft that blends hip hop and disco vibes into a simple mobile-first release. As we’re pretty used to by now, Pocket Games Soft is known for its straightforward, but fun games that are made with mobile play in mind, such as Inferno Mayhem and Pharaoh Royals. Funky Fortunez continues the trend and comes with a bumping theme and soundtrack, alongside Prize Symbols, which are the main feature of the game, having payouts up to 500X the bet. However, this is not a Cash Collect game, as it is all about landing chain wins through the Cascade, which, in turn, leaves behind the aforementioned Prize Symbols. To spice it up a bit, there are random Prize Upgrades, as well as persistent Prizes in the Free Spins feature. So, join us as we explore the dance floor, and maybe you’ll even hit the max win of 2,000X the bet.
Get your groove on with embedded Prize Symbols into the playing grid after streaks of Cascading wins. If you want to try a few spins for yourself, then we would recommend giving the Funky Fortunez demo a try.

Theme, Gameplay & Payouts
Funky Fortunez is a video slot from Pocket Games Soft with 4 Reels, 4 Rows, and uses Cluster Pay mechanics, needing 3+ of the same symbols to be touching in a cluster to create a win. You can choose between making a Min.bet of 0.6and a Max.bet of 180. The game also comes with a higher-than-average RTP of 96.74%, a hit frequency of 36.9%, medium volatility, and a pretty low max win of 2,000X the bet.
The game is set on a dance floor in a bumping club, where you find yourself right in the middle of it, as that's where the playing grid is. This is then paired up with a hip-hop soundtrack that only increases in speed as you spin, and some pretty good sound effects to boot. You can play the game on most notepads, mobiles, and desktops.
The lower-paying symbols are various music notes in different colors, ranging from purple, red, gray, and teal. The higher-paying symbols are a cap, sneakers, a necklace, and an armband. As of writing, we currently don’t have a paytable to base the payouts on, but we will update this review as soon as we have more information. There are also two different Special Symbos, those being the Prize and Scatter Symbols, which you can read more about in the next section.
Special Features & Mechanics
What is the max win in the slot Funky Fortunez?
You can win up to 2,000X the bet.
What features are available in the slot Funky Fortunez?
The features are Cascade, Prize Symbols, Prize Upgrades, and Free Spins.

Cascade
After creating a winning combination, the winning symbols will be removed from the playing grid, allowing new symbols to fall in from above to fill in the empty positions. This offers the possibility of creating new wins and will continue until no more wins can be made, thus ending the spin.
Prize Symbols
The symbol position after creating a winning combination will activate and keep on being activated for the remainder of the spin. If an active marked position has another winning symbol on top of it, the position will be transformed into a Prize symbol. Prize Symbols come with a Cash Prize ranging from 0.2X to 8X the bet.
Prize Upgrades
Before any Prize Symbol awards its prize, it has a random chance to be upgraded into a Gold Prize symbol, worth 10X to 50X the bet, or into a Platinum Prize Symbol, worth 100X to 500X the bet.
Free Spins
By landing 3 Scatter Symbols, you will be awarded the Free Spins feature with 10 spins, with +2 extra spins per additional Scatter Symbol. During the bonus game, any activated marked symbol position and Prize Symbol will remain on the reels until the end of the feature. At the end of every winning spin, each Prize Symbol will award a prize, with a random chance of triggering the Prize Upgrade.
Final Thoughts on Funky Fortunez
Funky Fortunez is like many other Pocket Games Soft releases, in that they have a certain charm to them with some interesting themes and visuals. However, with a bit of a lesser focus on gameplay, which isn’t a surprise, as the studio is known for being all about mobile-first. But we aren’t saying that this game would be perfect if it had a bigger scope, as graphically, while looking interesting, it isn’t exactly the peak of quality, and just helps set the funky vibes in a rather basic setting. This is how most Pocket Games Soft games are however, and what we’ve grown accustomed to with many of their releases, so it’s nothing new. But, enough talk about visuals and graphics, and let us instead focus on the important pieces, that being the features.
The game follows a very simple Cascade gameplay loop, which isn’t even for the paylines, but just for creating more and more Prize Symbols. This minor shift from focusing on chaining paylines to activating symbol positions was a fun idea, at least in theory. In practice, the game can feel quite hit or miss, where, in the base game, hitting a few Cascades may lead to a handful of Prize Symbols, which, at best, only add a small extra amount on top of your payline wins. This is because the normal Prize Symbols don’t really have much payouts to speak of, maxing out at 8X the bet, unless they’re randomly upgraded. Of course, this might feel a bit more consistent with a loaded playing grid during the Free Spins feature, but it might still feel rather underwhelming due to the low payouts. All in all, Funky Fortunez might look like an upbeat and exciting game, but sadly falls flat because of its low Prize Symbol payouts that rely too much on random Upgrades, or a fully stacked playing grid, for sizeable wins.
Funky Fortunez is a slot that puts you right in the middle of the dance floor, where Cascades lead to Prize Symbols for additional wins with the occasional Prize Upgrade.
