With a retro vibe and generic soundtrack, some of you might find it nostalgic, but for me, it feels outdated. We would love to see a new take on the Ancient Egyptian theme, such as games like Gears of Horus and UFO Pyramids, but Blueprint Gaming chooses to play it safe and, frankly, with underwhelming results.
So what makes this release special? Here, we get a similar design to the previous Eye of Horus The Golden Tablet Megaways. But, instead of a dynamic Megaways mechanic, we are offered an Expanding Wild during the Base Game and Upgrade Feature during the Free Games. What makes this game stand out is the Gold Spins, which can be earned during Free Spins and then triggered. Without any multipliers or potential for big wins, it’s hard to imagine the max win of 5,000X the bet being reached. Maybe we are too negative, but considering the poor info and complicated rules, it was hard to keep up with the action. While spinning the reels inside the tomb, we found the game dated and its rules unnecessarily difficult.
